I didn't watch the video -- the header and picture were enough for me.

GM's EN-V.

What an ugly, small piece of crap. I think almost all of us would be in agreement here.

"Small" is the whole point, I would think. This isn't something you'd cram your family into for a weekend getaway, but to commute to work or get around town.

I don't think it's ugly, though. Tries too hard to be "futuristic" looking, but there's potential.

I don't think the car of 2050 will be much different from today's seeing as today's car also isn't that different from the car of a hundred years ago or design-wise even isn't that different from the horse drawn carriage two hundred years ago; the form will follow the functionality somwhat, but people will still want some space to put their bags in and probably a crumple zone in front of them for safety which means that designs like this from GM will at best remain a niche market imo. I don't see anything revolutionary about this, and I'm also curious how the two-wheel Segway stabiliser system is superior to a two-axis system in any way (I didn't watch the whole video though, maybe they explained it somewhere)

Expected reaction out of people: "Wow, it's so different because the future will be different. I'm intrigued."

Actual reaction out of people: "Wow, it's so weird because they're forcing the concept of the future on us. I'm rolling my eyes."

No matter what design of color, it'll be like driving a coffin. In fact, might as well help the consumer save some money later on it life, and design it like a coffin, so when you get creamed by someone with an actual car, the Coffin-V can be fixed up and instant coffin! No water or batteries needed.

Well, thanks for that, Mr. Sunny Disposition. :wtf:

It's a vehicle with a a very specific purpose, which is to go around in urban areas. It's definitively not for everybody's need, but neither are sportcars or SUVs. I can see is as a secondary vehicle for limited urban mobility (kind of a motor-scooter, but without having to worry about rain and cold). As for security, again, it's not much worse that motor-scooters, and they are sold aplenty around here. As a cross between a Smart, and a BMV C1, I'm sure it will find its slice of market. I understand it's not well-suited to the US market, but in Europe or Japan it would fare well in my opinion. And they look kind of neat, especially the Jiao configuration.

I'd take my thirty year old Kawasaki over that horrid creation every day. At least when i die driving that, I'll die happy.

First, it is projected for 2025, not 2050.

Second, one may assume you are an American, home of massive SUVs and gas-guzzlers. Most people around the globe prefer smaller vehicles which fit into narrow streets and parking areas. This vehicle, like so many concepts, will probably never see production. It is mainly a design exercise and publicity generator.

Can I get a picture of this creation so I don't have to watch through 25 minutes of a Fox News report to know what this POS looks like?

It's interesting looking, although i won't be buying one in 2025. I have a very reliable, efficient car that will most likely last me until then, so i'm good.
