Favorite main character!

A simple poll no doubt done to death in the annals of TrekBBS history, but I'm nevertheless curious as to who the current denizens of the DS9 board cite as their favorite character.

This is a really tough one for me because there are a few I really, really like but I'm going to make it rough for all of us and have it set that you can only pick one.

Mine is Kira.

I voted Odo, he just about beats Kira for me. But I like both of them very much.

Garak is my favourite though.

Kira and Odo are actually my top two.

And yeah, I wish I could just do a poll for, like, everyone of importance and recurring status but I figured I'd keep things simple and clean.

Garak is in my top five, no doubt.

Of the main characters, probably Quark. He's so... human, it's easy to like and despise him at the same time.

Ben Sisko is my favourite main character, followed by Quark.

I can't choose. There's too many badasses on that list to choose from. I have a top teir including Sisko, Kira, Odo and O'Brien, but I like all four of them for different reasons and I can't pick a favourite from them.

But if Garak was on this list, he'd easily win. Garak, Omar Little, President Bartlet and Niles Crane are gods among TV characters.

Camera pans on NILES' face as he commits to an AWKWARD, AGITATED STARE. Laugh track grows boisterously.

FRASIER: This is my brother, Dr Niles Crane.
GARAK: Charmed, I'm sure.
NILES: Frasier has told me all about your work.
GARAK: So he thinks. Positive words, I hope.
NILES: Certainly, it's a struggle to keep him quiet about his new corduroy pants.
GARAK: That is good to hear. If you'll excuse me gentlemen, I must get back to work. I'm in the middle of skinning a Klingon to make a jacket, and he hasn't given me the information I'm interested in yet.
NILES: Haha! Frasier didn't tell me about your whimsical sense of humour.

I definitely prefer yours to mine, but I'm drop-dead exhausted so I can write badly and get away with it.

I voted for O'Brien I have a thing for engineers and his job seemed hardest of all engineers. Working on Cardie systems would be a hard job. He had a grudging respect for their tech and I would do that too.

I really don't think I can pick - my top three are Kira, Sisko and O'Brien. Aaaugh! Well, I'm going for Kira just because she had such an interesting story arc, but I assure you, the choice is a somewhat artificial one. They really are tied, and Odo comes in right after them.

Bashir is just awesome, and I love Quark--but my number one choice (suprise, suprise) is Ezri .

(Seriously, though...it's not like everyone here isn't spoiled on the princess's last name, by now....)
