Hmmmmm, sure it is a beginning, but we'll need to dress it up a bit...
Maybe begin it something like this:

I was wondering a few days ago if we were going to do B/W avatar week again this year. I'm in.
Another av up before the official start of the initial B&W avatar week* was this one:IIRC Goji had his grayscale Village of the Damned avatar and I also had a black & white avatar (a Young Frankenstein one, I think) and we were posting after each other in some thread. The conversation turned to the fact that the avatars were all grayscale, and Flukie noticed and started the first ever black & white avatar week thread.I have no idea where most TBBS traditions came from, but thank you for your role in this one.
^Indeed, we need one of the three wise 'men' to tell us the tale of the first B/W avatar event (It'll have to be you, mimic, as the other two are temporarily missing).

People never remember that I also had a minor role in the creation of this spectacular event. I'm Rosalind Franklin to their Watson & Crick.
It was (iirc) only a week-end at first, but due to high interest in the event it was expanded so also those who only post from work could take part in it.
My B/W avatar today requires no introduction, Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you: Die Marlene!
I don't remember the name of the meme I'm wearing today, but I suppose you all have seen it before -perhaps even this iteration.
