TNG reboot cast

If they could reuse Tom Hardy, the Picard clone in Nemesis, they would be halfway there.

Some extra makeup, and a deeper voice, almost a perfect lookalike.
Except that he doesn't really look much like Picard, apart from the shaved head... Which means that you could pretty much shave any white guy's head and claim he was Picard's clone.

^ I think the last recast thread in TNG was in September, which I linked to earlier in this thread.

In which case, I think a repost may be handy.

Beverly Crusher
- Michelle Pfieffer

Nobody mentioned her in the September thread. I'll admit that I'm very tempted to go with her too, but this is in spite of her lack of hotness and because of her roles as LouAnne Johnson in Dangerous Minds and Gillian Lewis in To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday. Strangely enough, she followed McFadden in being cast as Gillian for the film adaptation of the original play!

However, my preference is stated below, straight out from that thread.

Kate Pulaski
- Gates McFadden (just to fuck with your heads!!!)
Seeing her opposite someone like Michelle Pfeiffer would open eyes wide open. Unlike with Muldaur, I can state that McFadden has aged quite gracefully even very recently, and I can back this up.

While the name's not on the top of my head, I can think of only one person who can continue and excel the gorgeous, hot, sexy, and smart legacy that was imparted upon the character of Dr. Crusher by Cheryl Gates McFadden. But, like the scenario with Pfeiffer, this would mean scrapping the redhead hair colour continuity.

I met Gates McFadden at a scifi con in Dallas a few years ago, and she looked a lot like the woman that played Will's mom on Will & Grace.

Point was, I think at this point, Gates McFadden looks old enough to be Pulaski.

It'd be a fun mindfuck.

Mariska Hargitay as a female Worf.
You've all had a lot of really great ideas for a serious cast.
I would love to see some more humorous suggestions. Paris Hilton as Yar? She's about as talented as Denise Crosby.
I guess I missed the thread in September.

Michael Vartan - Captain Picard

Matthew Davis - Commander Riker

Summer Glau - Data

Evangeline Lilly - Deanna Troi

Elizabeth Mitchell - Dr. Crusher

Katie Sackoff - Tasha Yar

Jesse Williams - Geordi

Mehcad Brooks - Worf

Travis Caldwell - Wesley Crusher

Joel McHale - Q

I think Joel Mchale would be perfect as Q!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the earlier idea of Danny Devito for Picard is a good one! They need to get him a huge chair so his feet don't touch the ground when he sits! :guffaw:

I think an It's Always Sunny style reboot where everyone is a complete asshole would be funny to watch for an episode or two.

Vincent Cassel as Jean Luc Picard

Jerry O'Connell as William Riker

Cillian Murphy
as Data

Dulé Hill
As Geordi Laforge

Emily Deschanel As Beverly Crusher

Terry Crews as Worf

Marsh Thomason as Deanna Troi

& If we must

Sean Cunningham as Wesley Crusher (The kid from Secretariat)

Great casting you've done here.:techman:

Okay, my ideas for casting:

Lesley Crusher-Dakota Fanning or AnnaSophia Robb

Barney Crusher-Jeff Daniels

Janine Picard-Angelina Jolie

Winnifred (Wendy) Teresa Riker-Summer Glau

Georgina LaForge-Tamera Mowery

Data-Michelle Trachtenberg

Worf-Terry Crews

Deon Troi-Matt Smith

Kenneth Pulaski-David Hyde Pierce

Q-Sarah Michelle Gellar
