As you know, I'm the first one to push the notion that Clark's a douche, but he did have a point... On the surface, Kara's actions fly in the face of how he's spent the last ten or so years. That aside, you'd think he'd be pleased to see her once again.

That's the way HE chose to live his life. Doesn't mean she has to.

Exactly. I can't belive (well, maybe I can) that Clark didn't say "Let's do this together." You would think that two Kryptonians would be able to take Darkseid. But Clark's got a massive ego.

the thing about having this great destiny, whatever it is, is that it works better if he comes into it on his own, when everyone keeps telling him to do right, and it takes THIS much convincing for him to get things right, learn to fly, and take on this destiny, then maybe he just aint cut out for it!

I mean geez, everyone keeps having these speeches to him about his destiny, but the man just doesn't have what it takes obviously, I don't want some "Superman" who only took on his "destiny" because everyone around him convinced him to do it. I want a Superman who found his destiny on his own, and has owned up to what he will become.

While I can't quite disagree with you on that Othello, Lex still had huge issues of his own. I fail to believe that he would've turned out differently if Clark had confided in him.
