Well, I think I'd predominantly prefer the TMP era lines, but I'd definitely want some TNG and the clean-cut Nu-Trek lines.
As for the size of the ship, I'm thinking of a size-range between 680 to 720 meters. The figures are based on the Ex-Astris Scientia article about the Excelsior size, based on the number of decks shown on the Enterprise-B and the fact that it would indicate a minimum size of 680 meters, and the size of the gash made by the energy ribbon covering three decks, yielding a projected length of at least 700 meters.
The other size range is around 740 to 790 meters, which are based largely on the Nu-Enterprise's size. 762 meters was the Nu-Enterprise's size, so I gave around 25 meters on either end (above and below).
So far, I'm thinking I'd like a circular saucer, with an upper shape similar to a mix between the Sovereign-Class and the Excelsior Class, and a lower shape similar to the Excelsior only. I would prefer the impulse engines to be located on the centerline behind the saucer. Either mounted on the saucer like the Excelsior, or roughly in the location of the saucer-shuttlebay on the Sovereign-Class.
As for the secondary-hull, I'm thinking of something more like the Sovereign-Class, especially aft of the saucer section. The pylons are pretty good as they are from the Sovereign-Class.
As for the connecting-dorsal (Neck), I'm thinking of some kind of mix of the Ambassador-Class and the Sovereign-Class, I don't want any grilles in the neck design.
