One thing Brandon does have going for him other than he has put the \S/uit on before...he has grown and matured a bit as an actor and is in a better place than he was with SR.
Yeah most Superman fans seem to have a dislike for Kate Bosworth's portrayal of Lois Lane. I thought it was average at best. I didn't think she had that much chemistry with Brandon at all. I like Kate Bosworth but she just wasn't very convincing as Lois.
I can't see Nolan bringing back Routh. He'd hire Christian Bale to do Superman also before hiring Routh. Nolan is the type of guy who wants to make his own mark on things and bringing along the guy from the previous film would go against that.

Switch Kate Bosworth(as Kitty) with Parker Posey(as Lois) and it would have been better.
Actually thought that Parker overacted her role as Kitty but I like Parker too.

There is no way that Nolan would or should ever consider bringing ini Routh. He was hired to play Superman primarily because he remind Singer of Christopher Reeve. That worked given that Singer seemed obsessed with making a Donneresqe film. Unfortunately, that depiction was at least a generation out of date and it showed.
I suspect that Nolan will be more interested in more recent depictions of the character. He will not let himself be bogged down in the nostalgia for Donner that plagued SR. Thank goodness for that.

I do not think that WB will be interested in having an openly gay actor playing Superman. Matthew Bomer gets away with it on a cable tv show, but it would receive more attention if he were in a big budget film.
^ Hell no. And I actually kind of like her. She seemed kind of grungy for a while, but on Moonlight it was like she cleaned up really good.
They're going to want a name actress. Depending on the age of the Superman actor, I say Rachel McAdams.
I wouldnt say Kate Bosworth wasn't any more of a name than Shannon around that time. Watch they'll end up with a Anne Hathaway type if not her, herself.

Back in July Superman Homepage mentioned Joe Manganiello(Spider-Man, How I Met Your Mother, One Tree Hill & True Blood).
33 years old and 6'5" seems to fit the bill.

While I would like to see Routh reprise his role I too don't think he will get the role. It will be interesting to see who does get cast as Superman though.
Well since Gary Frank's run on AC and Secret Origin depicted Superman like Reeve I think using Routh qualifies as a recent depiction.
Agreed. And I don't get the hate some people have for Singer.
Bosworth's different colored eyes just annoyed me
