Loved it.
I liked RTD finals but there was always something that left me a little disappointed but even though we did not see the old doctors like I hoped I did not feel any disappointment with this episode and by the sound of it its not over yet.

Did people watch the same episode as me? He rebooted time to the start of the damn season, nothing in season 5 actually happened now. Then he lives on through the power of love. Shit.

That wasn't very good! Thought we would of seen some more of the alliance also as always with these episodes the pace is too fast and sometimes its hard to know whats really going on.

I'm....not to sure what to make of it, really. Need to come back to it later. Hmmm.

Thats an issue with you and your comprehension of it, I understood it completely and I'm sure many others did aswell.

I have to say, apart for nice character moments, this was a complete waste of time.

The shit started when the Doctor pulled a Bill and Ted to get out of the Pandorica.

Lots of good bits but not sold on the end at all - bringing the Doctor back through Amy's memories is too weak an escape route for me.

Also, isn't that faith/love of the Doctor restoring him exactly what RTD did in Last of the Time Lords?

First fifteen minutes were great, the rest far more variable...

What? EVERYTHING HAPPENED! If it didn't why would Amy and Rory remember the Doctor.

All those wasted hours arguing about continuity erasure. In the end it didn't matter because everything ever has been left intact.

I like how the Silence wasn't revealed and the dangling River thread is being reeled in as well.

Should have kept the fez though. Oh and how did River get to the wedding if the Doctor still had the TVM?

Finally, no space battles.

An intelligently written, simple but complicate and outrageouslt brilliant!

A touching ep. No over the top rtd crap. Yay.

A nod to indiana jones with rory guarding amy for thousands of years.

I loved it, it was just brilliant. And the time jumps confirmed the two doctors theory, well, multiple doctors theory.

But yeah, it wasn't the finale that has has gone before, no battles, no running etc etc.

Watching confidential at momentm

Oh, and love the fez. Just like that.

That movie owes Doctor Who its entire fucking existence. Unless you're seriously of the opinion that Keanu "I Have One Facial Expression" Reeves is the reason for it.

Lending a plot point (that's pretty common in time-travel stories anyway) is the least it can do.

That's certainly one way to set up the next season!

Before anyone else says it... there's all this hoo-haa about not meeting your previous self etc, so why was Amy able to touch Amelia without the whole big explosion thing happening? :p

Seriously though... loved it!

Presumably not quite the same Amelia due to the temporal divergence after the stars died. Like meeting a version of you from a parallel universe rather than your own literal past self.

It's a crap plot point whether it was in Bill and Ted or Doctor Who.

When series do these extended arcs that reach into the next series/season I sometimes worry if the payoff will be satisfying/live up to the buildup.

I liked it. The Doctor got out of the box waaaay too easy. Damn sonic. But I loved the beginning where we see the box open up and it's Amy! Didn't see that coming.

The episode had a lot of cute moments: The Fez, the return of Amelia, Amy's parents, Space Florida(!), Rory remembering the Doctor and saying "He was the stripper at my..."

I wish River would become a full-time companion. She's awesome.

And mostly, I love that Amy & Rory will be sticking around. After one season adventures with Martha and Donna, I like that we'll get to spend more time with these great characters.

And the setup for the x-mas special has me all excited!

This isn't a complaint about the episode (I've done that) but Moffat needs to be careful who he lets on set because I don't think there was anything from that episode that wasn't leaked.

I'm kind of cool with it because I love being spoiled but I've never been so completely spoiled before an episode.

It's a crap plot point whether it was in Bill and Ted or Doctor Who.

"Sensible response of the primary characters given they have time-travel capability" does not equal "crap plot point" unless you ENJOY seeing people deliberately and stupidly NOT remembering the blindingly obvious.

But then, you do come from a city that voted for Boris Johnson as Mayor, so perhaps...
