First off, thanks for the votes! I had no idea that there were so many Patterson Joseph fans out there.

This week's theme is should-have-been companions: your ideal companions, actors/performers you wish had been/will someday be traveling with The Doctor.

Standard av rules apply, as always. I will put the voting thread up Thursday, unless anyone objects.

I'm going to approach this as realistically as possible as an exercise in 'what might have been' if the TV movie had been popular enough to launch a show the following season. Assuming these actresses had no major commitments in this parallel world at the time (None of them were big yet, and others never quite got as big as they might have) who would have been hot (or getting noticed) around Hollywood at the time and likely to snag the job.

Okay, I submit that the delightful Lynda-with-a-Y was not only a should've-been companion, but a would've-been too! After all the Doctor pretty much endorsed her suggestion that she come with him in his travels. Unfortunately the whole Dalek attack and the fact that she was exterrrrminated put the kibosh on those plans. Still, it would have been a cool dynamic adding Lynda to the mix, what with Rose already pining for the Doctor herself. Alas, what could've been:
