While it wasn't a geek-friendly movie, or even a very good movie (though I'd argue it wasn't bad, either), it was pretty trippy to see Rick O'Connell face down Indiana Jones in Extraordinary Measures - and, the latter's legendary status aside, he's definitely the shorter of the two! :p

So, which two living actors would you most like to see co-star in a movie, and what kind of movie? Their roles can reference the actors' stardoms, but they shouldn't be character crossovers, so while Shatner and Hamill would be fine, no Kirk vs. Luke, please.

My #1 pick: a buddy-cop flick with Shatner and Schwarzenegger. Heck, doesn't have to be a cop movie, but they should definitely be buddies. The chemistry would be amazing.

My #2: Rachel Weisz and Kate Winslet. In a romantic comedy. Romancing each other. A hard-R romantic comedy. A hard-R romantic comedy with lots of... well, you guys get the drift. I would also settle, however, for a rom-com pairing of Keira Knightley and Anna Paquin. :p

What say you?

It would be interesting to see Jack Nicholson & Clint Eastwood finally show up in something together, even now that they are both geriatric. Not much time left, perhaps :(

Why can't we have a hard-R romantic comedy with lots of - well, you know - with Rachel, Kate, Keira, and Anna? :techman:

This is a movie that NEEDS to happen!

Téa Leoni & Jennifer Aniston.

:D

They play lovers and partners in crime. :bolian:

Téa Leoni is my favorite actress in the modern era and I have this thing for Jennifer Aniston...even though I really hated her at one point.

This could work! :bolian:

Didn't take long to get to the lesbian sex, did it?

:techman:

I'd like to see a buddy/road picture with Clint Eastwood and Pee Wee Herman. It practically writes itself!

It'd be mostly some of the great actors currently and most likely some of the older generation like Eastwood, Nicholson, Pacino, DeNiro etc (though we had DeNiro vs. Pacino in Heat and it was glorious! :techman:).

However what i would really love to see is some huge mother of all blockbusters like back in the 60s where they threw in every name available and made a movie.. top notch casting down to the smallest roles (watch A bridge too far to see what i mean).

It would mostly be unfinancable just for the actors salaries not to mention to get all the schedules together so they can make it but one can dream.

Emma Thompson in a character like the one she plays in Harry Potter, with Angela Lansbury in a character like she played in Sweeney Todd, the two of them on the run from the law.

I would love to see a modern western with Tom Selleck and Mickey Rourke. Classic affair with sheriff or bounty hunter after the notorious outlaw type.

Every now and then I get this odd flash of a story idea. It's kind of a horror story where Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts play demonic sisters who wreak havoc on the lives of random individuals. That would be my number 2 pick.

My number one pick has already happened. There was a time when Alec Baldwin and Demi Moore were two of my favorite actors and I wanted to see them do a movie together.

Then they did the The Juror, which taught me to be careful what I wish for.

So you're the one responsible for that. :klingon:
