Biggest "Reset Button" Ever? (SPOILERS)

I assume people like Sarah Jane and Captain Jack, and all the other past companions of the Doctor, would still remember the Dalek invasions? Eleven did say to Amy that she was shielded from the effects of the time crack to some degree, now that she's travelled through time.

Absolutely brilliant, although a bit unfair on the baby, he can't help being a whiny baby after all ;)

The important thing to remember is that these things still did happen, because the Doctor remembers them (and we all have the DVDs)

Blimey, if all this is true, then Martha's family are going to think she's a real loony when she starts talking to them about the time she helped save the Earth from the Daleks!

Sorry if this sounds a bit of a dumb question, but if the Dalek invasion in The Stolen Earth/Journey's End was erased from history, then how did those Daleks in VotD still exist?

They might have really been from The Parting of the Ways since they were impure Daleks.

Not too sure about that, seeing as it was heavily implied that Rose erased every single one of them from existence. There wasn't really much opportunity for any to escape.

Then why would Daleks made from Kelad DNA aka Davros be considered impure since they come from the same source matieral as the pure ones.

A Kaled is not a Dalek!

Anyway, the fact that the Sarah Jane Adventures are continuing (complete with a visit from the eleventh Doctor) would tend to indicate that some things are going to remain as they were.

I suspect the cracks are going to be fairly random. An invasion goes missing here, a man forgets where he put his car keys there.

This might just be a clever way to make the stakes seem more real; there are a dozen good reason to have the Doctor lose this one, and have all the unpleasant world-changing events he's inflicted on the world be erased in fact as well as in practice, or at the very least, have him screw up a little so there's now an official explanation for people forgetting Cybermen, Daleks, and how the Earth was enveloped by the sun something like three different times. Since it's so plausible it might end that way, it might be Moffat intentionally picking a hostage for the Doctor to rescue that the more cynical and savvy viewers know is actually expendable.

At last, the perfect explanation for why no one picked Miss Foster's sonic pen out of that bin Ten dropped it in for no reason at all. Always thought that was blatant set-up for a later episode, but now we know - the act of dropping the pen never happened.

And when the 2012 Olympics roll around and Ten isn't carrying the torch, we'll know why. Crack in the universe, never happened.

And Ianto can live!

This can be used for anything. Top marks to Moffatt. Where's that 'Stories You Disregard' thread...
