okay...I CRIED!!!

A few teary-eyed moments from sci-fi:

Angel:
- Cordelia says goodbye to Angel at the end of "You're Welcome"
- Illyria turns into Fred as Wesley dies in "Not Fade Away"

Battlestar Galactica:
- Kara says goodbye to Anders at the end of "The Farm", and again in "Daybreak"
- Roslin's death in "Daybreak"
- The fleet reaches earth/victory cheer in "Revelations"

Buffy the Vampire Slayer:
- Angel's soul is restored, but Buffy has to kill him anyway, in "Becoming, part 2"

Lost:
- Charlie drowns in "Through the Looking Glass"
- Desmond talk to Penny on the phone in "The Constant"

Star Trek:
- Spock's funeral at the end of TWOK
- character montage/goodbyes and final pull-back at the end of DS9's "What You Leave Behind"

Great list...especially Desmond talk to Penny on the phone in "The Constant" and DS9 "What you leave behind"...and later in that same episode when Odo/Kira say goodbye...

^^ You might want to spoiler-code the Battlestar Galactica part, because there are countries in which the last season hasn't aired yet.

Pencil me in for A.I. and The Iron Giant as well. A.I. really struck a chord with me for some reason. That poor little robot-kid-thing.

The "you bow to no-one" speech at the end of Return of the King got me a little misty.

I remember being very moved by DS9's The Visitor and What You Leave Behind. I probably cried. I can't remember.

The thread reminds me that I need to rent Bicentennial Man.

I got misty a few times in Doctor Who's "The End of Time", such as
the Doctor telling Wilf in the cafe that he's going to die and that regeneration feels like death
, but at the end when he says
"I don't want to go..."
I absolutely lost it.

I was moved by a certain scene in Babylon 5's final episode.

JMS turning off the lights followed by the station blowing up.

When they blew up the Enterprise in STIII... still the most emotionally wrenching experience I've ever had in a theater.

Spock's death didn't hit me as hard 'cause you knew he'd be back. But once the ship blew up, it was GONE... :(

When I saw KHAN that first time, at the movies, I didn't know he was coming back. Plus there was all that media stuff that said he (nimoy) didn't want to, and Savik was his obvious replacement...

I think it was a week later when I read that Nimoy would be directing III and pretty much guessed they would bring him back. But for about a week...Spock was really dead...lol...

I don't usually cry at films or TV shows, but I'm not embarrassed to say that Babylon 5 brought tears to my eyes three times in the last 5 episodes:

The Fall of Centauri Prime - "but I can forgive... you"
Objects at Rest - when Delenn addresses the crowd
Sleeping in Light - I won't say because maybe some people who want to see it haven't done so yet and finales are important, but there's one scene in particular that really gets me, even more than the episode as a whole does

Spock's death in TWOK
Jurassic Bark in Futurama
Sirius talking to Harry about Lily Potter in PoA (my mum had just died too, so...)
B5's Sleeping In Light
The Two Towers, when there's the vision of Arwen and Aragorn's future
Return Of The King when "Into the West" plays, though really it's the song alone, even on the soundtrack album.
If it counts as SF, Sam returning to 1973 in (the original UK version of) Life On Mars
The Girl In The Fireplace in nuWho season 2
The Master's "get out of the way" in End Of Time 2 (not the bit we're *supposed* to cry at, of course!)
The end of House Of Flying Daggers, if it counts as SF/F
The season 2 cliffhanger of Farscape.
Adama and Roslin off in the raptor...

Non-SF would include Carlito's Way every time, Casino Royale, and a few others.

Sleeping in Light - I won't say because maybe some people who want to see it haven't done so yet and finales are important, but there's one scene in particular that really gets me, even more than the episode as a whole does

The bit that caused me to totally break down was

when Delenn clutches the part of the bed where Sheridan should be. It was devastating.
