I was going to go for a animated avatar representing three of Cardassia's less celebrated dissidents, alas photobucket has size issues. So instead I present for NG's DS9 theme, the heroic lowly solder who defied the military dictatorship in order to help his fellow freedom fighters.

Let us salute Ari, a true hero of Cardassia!

And now on to a less heroic, and dare I say less honorable example for the episode category:

As for the random theme, could someone give me more details about what it entails? I'm not entirely sure what to come up with for that theme (and it is a most intriguing one to be sure...)

^ LOL, sorry! XD I wanted to start the contest today and was looking through the previous lists. One of the old ones was "We win they lose"and that got me thinking... what about circumstances, entertainment and otherwise, when "we" lose and "they" win???

I'm guessing usually that'll mean the bad guy has one a victory, but it's open to interpretation. Since it's the random theme it could be sports or something.

This avatar is goblin revolutionary and second-to-the-big bad Redcloak announcing that occupied Azure City will hence be known as the Sovereign nation of Gobbotopia. I have a lot of love for "Order of the Stick"...

The Nog one is actually very good, because Nog-as-Starfleet officer is indeed a character going against the current, turning his back on his society's usual way of doing things- plus you have the literal element!

Theme: Poor Ziyal didn't have an easy life. Everything was all about swimming against the current for her. That's probably what made her such a great character.
