Welcome back fellow BuyMorians and newcomers alike!

It is time for us to finally see the two hour season premiere episode of Chuck, the show we would not let die. We are supposed to pick up pretty much where we left off at the end of season 2. Devon and Ellie's wedding night and Chuck saying "I know kung fu."

I am a west coast viewer, so I won't be on for any commentary during the episode. (Plus, I am having some friends over. We are going for Subway $5 footlongs and watching End Of Time part 2 before the show) But I will be on later to post my comments and grade.

It has been a long wait. So sit back and enjoy! :cool:
 
I'm slightly nervous about the premiere tonight because I haven't seen it advertised anywhere. There have been Chuck Season 3 commercials, sure, but they all say that the season will be airing on Mondays. The internet is the only place I've actually seen mention of the Sunday 2-hour premiere.

Really? I have seen it advertised all over the place, myself.

I was kind of surprised on Thursday's Chuck marathon on SyFy, a NBC/Universal network, where they were actively pushing the showing of BSG: The Plan opposite of tonight's Chuck 9pm premiere. Ads in the breaks, graphics in the bottom right of the screen during the show, the whole bit. I mean, wasn't the whole point of the marathon to spark interest in Chuck? The whole thing was basically an ad for the third season? So why shoot that plan in the foot with your own house ads for a show that has been out on DVD for months? NBC execs make no sense to me.
 
It was a clip show. I was very disappointed.

Ugh, I wish I had time to finish my Chuck marathon before the premiere. Dammit.
 
I've seen plenty of ads for Chuck. OTOH, I didn't even know The Plan was tonight. I saw it on DVD already, ugh, don't bother. OTOOH, Caprica looks like it's gonna rock! :bolian:

I didn't even realize NBC had execs...

They've been advertising Chuck on Sunday like crazy all week on NBC.

Well, good. I've seen tons of ads for the new season, just nothing that specifically mentioned the Sunday premiere. Then again, I don't have TV at my place. I will, in fact, be driving 20 minutes to my parents' house to watch the episode tonight. :lol:
 
I sure hope that it is up on Hulu tomorrow when I get back from work.

I really need a good Chucking after a long day. :p
 
Is it going to up the next day? Didn't they stop doing that last year and started making you wait 3 days before the made it available online?
 
Hulu currently claims it will be up tomorrow.

"Season 3 premieres on Hulu on Monday, January 11, 2010"
 
I stumbled onto this show thanks to the SyFy marathon the other night. It's a pretty good show, Eagerly anticipating the Season 3 premiere.
 
I don't watch NBC except for Sunday Night Football and I've seen Chuck ads everywhere during those telecasts.

12 minutes to go!
 
That Honda Crosstour commercial was a bit...odd, but I think I'd take it over an actual commercial since it was pretty funny.
