I've got avatar restlessness!

I am sure everyone knows my theme. It is always a Smurf put into some movie or television franchise. I have every version of Trek though, including the new movie. At one point I was putting up a new one once a week but I haven't done that in over a year now.

Right now I am slowly working a batch of new ones though. I really want to do a couple of LOST, Fringe and Harry Potter Smurf avatars. But first on the list is Smurf versions of Indiana Jones and James Bond. My schedule has been so full the last six months they have languished on my computer half finished for months now.

I change mine, usually it use to be for what I was watching at the time, or what TV series I was currently into, but I've slacked off doing that, I need to keep up better but I got lazy. I guess I should change mine too, right now its from a scene in Teen Titans animated series.

Yes that is a Who Smurf... one modeled after Tom Baker. (I could never get the brim of the hat right so I left it off.) It is one of my favorites.

Yep. I have a Super Smurf. I just don't use it very often. I was never happy with it because I couldn't get a smooth flying animation with a decent city background under the size cap limitation. Super Smurf should be flying over the top of Metropolis but all I could ever manage was him against an open sky. I also wanted a moving cape and that was quickly abandoned because the animation cycle proved to big as well.

But most of my avatars have all been trimmed down from the original idea. My Wonder Smurf avatar started with a plane crashing, a pan down to Diana Prince and then she changes. In the end Steve Smurf was cut. BatSmurf was more elaborate and I don't even want to talk about the disasters that my Trek transporter animations ended up being. If I could get the powers-that-be to let me have 20K more I might actually manage to do some cleaner or expanded animations.

I wouldn't say I change my avatar all that often, but I change it regularly enough. At the moment I've got Doctor number 10 making me very sad indeed. Before that I had the Doctor standing in front of a clock because of the (at that point) upcoming End Of Time... I have quite a few DW avatars actually...

Me, I tend to keep an eclectic series of avatars based on what I like at the time - the only thing is, I tend to keep them and reuse them sometimes.

I used to change like a madman. Now I tend to keep an av for months on end. For a while it's been Chevrolet Camaro themes avs, and that's likely to stay as a theme for a while.

When i first joined i was changing my avatar on a daily basis. Couldn't find one that "fit"..was trying on Star Trek ones and others as well.....then i got comfortable with my Yeoman Rand avies...but changed it again this past week. I'm sure I'll change it again within a week or two. I'm so ADD its hard not to.
