NFL Football 2009

I hope Houston get's in. It's good for that city to finally have a winning season and hopefully they can be rewarded for it.

I'm considering becoming a Cowboys fan, looks like they are pretty good this year and I have to pick a horse for the playoffs sometime. What do you guys think, ok bandwagon choice? :D

I don't like them... but whatever. :p

I'm going to cheer for the Texans if they make it in.

Well they're certainly taking it to the Eagles so far today. Just scored a TD to go up 24-0 in the 3rd.

So by that same standard, a head coach who is 1-1 in Super Bowls is better than a head coach who is 1-3 in Super Bowls because 50% is better than 25%?

You're perfectly welcome to reject that standard if you like. It's just a simple comparison.

Let's go with a point similar to yours instead.

[Whispers] Don't look now, but ... Warner wins that one, too. He's started at quarterback in three Super Bowls to Favre's two, and did it in about half the time—with two different teams.

Well let's face it, playing to knock the Broncos out of the playoffs is the ONLY thing the Chiefs had to play for today. It was their superbowl.

Interception in the endzone by KC. Looks like this is a done deal. Wow!

Oh of course. It's just funny it came down to that.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

x1,000,000,000,000,000

GOD DAMMIT!!! On such a fluke play too!

However, if anyone blames Belichick for this, they are an idiot.

Tony 'sandy vagina' Dungy is already poo-pooing them playing anyone today on Football Night in America. Comical watch.

Those non-contact injuries are the worst. You know they are bad right off the bat. The way he cried into the towel and got carted off isn't a good sign either.

Plus way to blow it in the 4th quarter, for the 4th time this year.

Get well Wes.

Holy F***! The Chiefs are up 44-24 on Denver with a little over 6 minutes to go in the game.:eek::eek:

Ironic seeing Matt Cassel screwing over Josh McDaniels.

Well arguably Matt Cassel had little to do with it. Derrick Johnson had 2 pick 6 interceptions, and RB Jamal Charles set the Chiefs single game rushing record today and was only 30-40 yds short of the NFL record.

Way to end the season with a bang, Broncos. At home no less. In the final month of the season, you manage to find a way to lose to two terrible teams at home. Go back to the mustard yellow jerseys and vertically striped socks, at least you'll look the way you played to finish the season.

Although I will remind you of this gem I issued after the Colts game:

Denver's not going to win out.... and there's a greater than zero chance they drop one to either the Raiders or Chiefs.

Didn't think they'd drop them both. At least the division wasn't in question on the final day.

The Chiefs looked very good today on both sides of the ball.

Denver....LOL! They suck. Orton should be cut, and McDaniels should be fired immediately.

I like the Jets, but it would be good to see Houston get a shot at playoff glory.

And my Beloved Rams secured the first pick in the draft this spring. Huzzah!

Now if they'll let us draft three or four guys in the first round, we might be able to field a decent team.

I like Kurt Warner and I'm glad he's sticking it to the Rams on a division rival after they tossed him out with the garbage, and I'll be happy for him when he gets elected to the Hall of Fame. And Arizona obviously knew what they had in him when they immediately made him the starter after only two other QBs failed.

But it's obvious here you only have a hard-on for Warner because he's on the Cardinals and wouldn't be singing his praises at all if he had just led the Dolphins to three straight Super Bowl titles. If Favre was in Arizona, you'd be wetting yourself all over him and not talking him down.

4 months ago, I was prepared to accept a 4-12 or 6-10 season, and was planning on being thrilled for 8-8. Well, here we are at 8-8. And all I want to do right now is club a baby seal. First football game I had ever gotten to go to... I wish it was another game. Well, time to get back to the drawing boards.

Eh, I wouldn't say they looked good on both sides of the ball. The defense did pretty well. The offense was stagnant other than that freaking running back.

Denver....LOL! They suck. Orton should be cut, and McDaniels should be fired immediately.
For Orton... unless we get someone really good in the off season, we can't part ways with Orton yet. We will need a new QB, but it might have to be someone that we groom to replace Orton... we certainly can't release Orton and promote Simms- that would end even worse than everything already has!!

For McD, I like most of what he has done, but he needs to work on his handlings of personel issues. There is more drama coming out of Denver right now than a Jr high classroom full of girls. It's McD's first season ever as a head coach, and by most accounts has been fairly successful. The big question will be where he takes the team from here.

I think it's funny that the only thing that kept the Rams from repeating Detroit's 0-16 run last year was the Detroit Lions.

Well, Kansas city did score 30 points and rack up over 500 yards of total offense, in Denver no less. And they had 317 yards rushing. Did you have a sense of deja vu?

I must admit to a bit of Schadenfreude here. My best friend is an obnoxious Broncos fan. I enjoyed seeing them engage in a public self-soiling with a potential playoff spot on the line. Nothing personal. I don't really even care about the AFC.

If it helps, it looks like the Bengals are phoning it in tonight, and it wouldn't have mattered anyway.

Of course it matters! Chad Ochocinco said he'd change his name back to Chad Johnson if he got owned by the Jets' defense during the pregame show.

Looks like he's going to have to set aside some time to file some paperwork tomorrow.
