NFL Football 2009

Wacky day yesterday...

Broncos continue to falter
Cincy gags one late against Oakland to fall into the 7-3 pack
Indy looks totally beatable again but eeks out another one
Steelers lose to lowly KC
Detroit wins on a play after time expires to knock off Cleveland

Was I the only one watching the Eagles/Bears game last night? That back and forth game was good if ugly at times. The Eagles turning the ball over twice in the closing minutes of the first half. Cutler overthrowing receivers that if he connects makes the game look like a Bears slap down of the Eagles. If Cutler wants to rise out of the middling ranks of NFL starting QB's he has to make those passes, at least one of them.

Monday Night Football: Titans vs Texans
Can the Titans get another win and make it 4 in a row?

I watched until the half then went to bed. It was decent enough, if not particularly memorable.

Tonight's game is the Irrelevancy Bowl. Hopefully out of it Tennessee vs. perenially .500 Houston.

Over/Under Cutler and 30 interceptions on the season?

Obviously that's still a good dozen short of Blanda, but it'd still be one of the worst seasons in a long while. ESPN currently has him projected at 29.

Keep in mind Bears still play Minnesota twice, @ Baltimore and Green Bay at home.

Stop talking. :(

They will lose all those games. They might even lose to Detroit.

COME BACK TO US REX!!!! ;)

I maintain that Cutler would not be throwing so many interceptions if he weren't running for his life on every goddamn play. Every single position on the offensive line, with the possible exception of Garza's, should be open for competition this offseason.

And Ron Turner needs to get fucked.

I'd take Neckbeard before Rex.

This just in from the NFL's lower ranks

TITANS BEAT TEXANS ON MNF 20-17. FOUR WINS IN A ROW FOR TENNESSEE!!

Titans: 4-6

*I now resume talk of Jay Cutler and his lack of QB'ing.

Take that, Jets! Mwah-ha-ha-ha-haaaaa!

And in other news: boy, the Browns suck.

Funniest part of that game was at the end when Brady attempted to throw a deep pass to Moss eventhough the game was clearly over. (probably a result of the tit-for-tat throughout the week between Revis amd Moss)

Rex was mouthing "F*@#$ them, F#@$#@t them" while pacing back and forth on camera.

True hilarity. :)

Well, it's official. Marc Bulger has a fractured leg, and he's most likely done for the season. My guess is he's played his last game for the Rams.

I have to give him credit. He really gutted it out against Arizona, having multiple injuries.

Still, I think it's time for him to go.

I agree

If he can come back from those injuries, a fresh start may be just what Bulger needs. Still, the team is playing hard for Spagnuolo, so something is going right for them. Sure it doens't compensate for having only 1 win, but... if the coach has won the players over, that's a huge victory. If they can pull in a couple more good drafts like Laurinitis... there is some hope. Obviously they need a lot of help in places, starting at QB.

Who would you want to see them draft?

If not for the injuries, Sam Bradford would have been my first choice. Now I'm not sure.

Colt McCoy would do in a pinch.

Or maybe that kid from Boise State.
