Did you see her pre-boob job state in that terrible zombie movie? It was house of the dead or something. Her knockers are way better now. She was topless, but it was nothing to write home about.

Well, um .. it was interesting. I think it's one of the worst performances Mack has ever given. She does not do "tough" very well at all. I laughed a number of times.

Mack's just so cute that it's hard for her to pull off tough. It's like watching a cudwy Care Bear try and roar and eat a child. It doesn't work.
 
Something I realized. I once read that Red Sun radiation could make a human develop Superman's powers. Wonder if they've made it noncanon.

I missed the episode due to highschool football pre-empting it and then went out. I am watching it on youtube.
 
I thought it was kinda meh. Too many holes ... Even for Smallville.

Like where in the hell were the other JLers? Obviously, they couldn't get the actors, but everyone was wearing masks. They could have "faked" It with effects (at least with Bart and Dinah) and have one guy black and uber-punch someone. Then there's the whole Lana bit as someone mentioned.

Really, if you think about it, with all the assets Clark has available to him, the whole thing should be a non-starter.
 
Well I had trouble with taping the episode,but it was fantastic IMO.
I hope that it will be rebroadcast so I can tape it again.
It looks like the two hour movie is going to be a hit in February,and can't wait to see Michael Shanks as Carter Hall/Hawkman.

Does Clark and the Ninja kryptonian have a thing...they still didn't clear that up...I think now the blue k gives her powers under a yellow sun.
 
Yeah from the way that Alia (that is ninja Kandorians name) caressed Clark's cheek before she died in the premire indicated something between them. Then again we still have the rest of the season, that future has already been altered somewhat by Lois returning and Clark learning as well as Tess what she saw so it's possible now that it will take a different direction to get there.

I know that Kneel Before Kal-El is a trap...the look on Clark's face though is great...he's stunned without trying to look stunned. "I'm going to do things right this time" okay Clark, when have you ever done things right on this show?

NX...Red Sun giving humans abilities and stripping Kryptonians of theirs I believe has since been removed from canon.

Yeah I would have liked to have seen costume remains of the Justice League, maybe an arm or Victor's skull plate lying around, Impulse's shirt toren, etc. Not mentioning them at all was kind of lame and seriously...the actress may not be available but Kryptonite Woman you'd think would be pretty important in a KRYPTONIAN invasion of Earth!

Also does it BUG you guys like it does me when they refer to Kryptonite as Kryptonite then a couple scenes later go back to call it meteor rock? Ugh. As Lionel once mentioned, it's time to grow up now kiddies.
 
Decent enough outing. I didn't think we'd get to see the visions play out so soon. I was also wondering why Lois had to forget since she didn't see Clark use his powers, then I remembered that she had to forget that she had sex with him so that it'll be meaningful when it does happen.

I think a real red sun would extend close to or even past Earth's orbit, so yeah, it would be bad for life here.

Yeah, but the CGI of them pulling the sword out was pretty impressive. They're doing some pretty good stuff these days.

It was explained in a throw away line. The sun was still yellow but the LuthorCorp Towers were producing radiation similar to that of a red sun (which was why the sun and sky appeared red). Zod's minions were using the LuthorCorp Satellite Grid to somehow get access to the actual yellow sunlight.

Interesting. I thought the Kandorians were engineered to be the reverse of regular Kryponians.

I don't like plastic surgery or implants, I find them a turn off, but for some reason it works for her. Maybe her personality and the way she carries herself (no pun intended) compensates for the work she's had done.

Oh yeah, the scenes at the Daily Planet at the end had an old fashioned retro look to it.

While the now-powered Kryptonians might not be able to get near Lana, there's nothing that says they couldn't have droppped a mountain on her.

She might not quite have a Kryptonian's durability.

I think we also need to start listening carefully to see if they continue using the term "Kandorian" rather than "Kryptonian".

I'm wondering if something flakey is going on with the DC Comics Superman legal situation again.
 
I enjoyed this episode quite a bit. Dark futures are always intriguing and this one is no exception. I think my favorite aspect was Chloe and Oliver's rebel group and the fact that they threw the no killing thing out the window. Zod's plan to turn the sun red was cool as that is straight out of the comics.

Absolutely was not expecting the ending though. Thought it was very cool and I'm intrigued to see what its going.

There were some problems though. The execution wasn't quite all there. The reuse of every Smallville set to show "the future" demonstrated the show's reduced budget. I really would have liked to have seen this episode as a two-parter to flesh out this future world more. Also, the fact that Clark (and for that matter Oliver and Chloe) don't tell Lois the truth is absolutely ridiculous.

Good point to whomever brought up the fact that "Super Lana" created last season would have been able to take down the Kandorians.

Kind of hoping Zod doesn't kneel down before Clark. Don't need to see THAT visual!

They have a series called "World of New Krypton" being published right now.
 
Yeah the Kandorians arrival is pretty much a riff off of the Kandorian storyline going on in the Superman books currently.

The only vision that was revealed that I had a problem with was Tess getting the dog tags...okay she makes it possible for Zod to rule and ONLY just gets granted initiation into the group?

Wasn't there a line in "Kandor" where Jor-El mentioned how he altered the biology so the Kandorians wouldn't get powers under a yellow sun?
