TrekBBS Friend List?

I currently have no one on mine and I am wondering...what is the purpose of the list? The people on your list...Did you ask them, did they ask you...does it matter???

I think I have about 20 on my list. I don't think I asked any of them (maybe 1 or 2, I don't really remember). In my experience, the friend list accomplishes absolutely nothing.

I have 9 people on my friends list. I have never asked anyone to be my friend but when someone sends a friend request I usually say yes. Not sure if there it really is of any use unless some people just like to have a lot of 'friends'.

The only really useful thing it does for me is keeping a list of names in one place, so I can send out PMs to people without searching for them.

I have 18 friends, some of whom I've friended and some who have friended me. The people I have friended are folks whose posts around the boards I enjoy reading and strike a chord with me. Other folks have friended me and I usually accept. I think the friends list does serve a purpose, even if it's only to get people chatting. I've spent quite a bit of time lately getting to know some of my friends better.

When the feature was first added, I "friended" several people. Had I known that there was no real use for it, I doubt I would have bothered.

^ I think many of us are did. There is one feature that I use, with the Albums, as you can them "Private", so only friends and staff can see it. I have one that is marked Private.

It's also any to see when certain people are online, and they are friends with you, as you would see "+", after their name.
