The best solution is to have Singer do a movie set between X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand, it could deal with Wolverine's origins more, which I don't think were elaborated on enough.

Wolverine has definitely been getting the shaft in these movies. He needs more screen time.

He's been "in talks" or "developing" any number genre projects ranging from Logan's Run to a Superman sequel. Until there are shots on set with actors in costume (any knuckle dragger with a laptop and Photoshop can make a teaser poster), I'm taking this news with a grain of salt. Besides, Valkyrie shows that he is best away from any genre projects. Plus, his X-Men movies haven't aged well and, in retrospect, are just star vehicles for Hugh Jackman. It would be better to just start anew, but X3 and Wolverine have just shown that the Singerverse movies have deevolved to the same level as the genre spoof movies: It'll make money no matter what's it about or who is directing it. Just have Jackman flex in a wifebeater for 90 minutes and it's the box office champ the first weekend.

I'm surprised that no one has started speculating on what X-Men project Singer will sign on for if indeed he does sign. He said in that clip that he would love to work with Hugh Jackman again so this makes me think that he wants to direct Wolverine 2, even though I think Gavin Hood did a pretty good job despite tons of interference from Fox. There is also the possibility of X-Men 4...but geez would you want to sign up for that with the mess that Ratner and Penn left it in? If anyone could reestablish continuity it would probably be Singer, Dougherty, and Harris if he brings them back as his writers. What would the line up be for X-Men 4? Would it be a direct continuation with new characters or a restart with that New Mutant idea that was floating around a few years ago. I personally would go apeshit if Singer is signed to do X-Men:The First Class, which I hear is being retooled as a prequel to this franchise.

Unfortunately, X3 and Wolverine raked in a few million reasons as to why Fox won't let it die. The next movie can have Zac Efron as Longshot, Kanye West as Bishop and Miley Cyrus as Jubilie and be a musical set in the Savage Land directed by Uwe Boll. So as long as it has Jackman doing his money shots in the wifebeater it'll have a big opening weekend.

OH HELL YEAH!!! Uwe Boll is the MAN, I would pay good money to see that film then because I love leaving the theater feeling like I just let Uwe Boll punch me in the face for two solid hours straight:crazy:!!! Don't you!!!:lol::guffaw:

And 10 or so months later that is still all he's done.
No movement on Castro Street.
Any real tangible proof on Excalibur?
Talk of BSG big screen adaption.
Plenty of Returns sequel talk even during Valkyrie release, that is now dead.
Now official talks of X-Men involvement again.

One of two things will happen.
After being dormant since Valkryie in '08 he will have multiple projects hit in a short time frame.
OR
He'll have a quiet comeback with one film.
