Ok Dollhouse fans tonight is a big night for the show. This is the last guaranteed episode to run. Next week(10/16) Fox will show the MLB playoffs. That is a contract issue and would've happened even if DH had 10million viewers. However, the week following, the Friday of 10/23 is in the air. Fox sent a notice to advertisers that the time of DH was listed as TBA.

This is the time to set your TIVOS and watch it within that week time frame after. If you can buy that iTunes season pass. Have a friend TIVO it as a favor. You know the drill.
There is a very real possibility the next thread we reconvene in will be the 'Dollhouse Cancelled' thread if ratings to do not A-stay the same or B-improve from ep2 mark of 2.09million.

More screencaps of tonights episode as a blantant lure to get the casual lurker of this thread to watch and/or Tivo tonights episode.

I don't care you have to sit down and program just try your best to spread the word that its down to the wire already for Dollhouse tonight.

Check back in later for commentary on the episode and I'm sure healthy discussion on the show's fate.

Re: Dollhouse 2x3 'Belle Chose' tonight 10/9 Grade, Discuss *SPOILERS*

The title is not "Bella Chose," but "Belle Chose," which is French for "beautiful thing." It's also a Chaucerian euphemism for the vagina.

Eliza's been doing all she can to promote Dollhouse. She appeared on the David Letterman and Jimmy Fallon shows this week. I hope her efforts pay off.

A ratings jump this evening won't mean anything though if those numbers can't be sustained in the long run. What happens on the other side of the baseball break is just as important as what happens tonight. Dollhouse has steadily lost its audience. It'll take a major effort to reverse that. As for the screencaps, they do nothing for me. Echo dressed like a little girl. Hoo ya.

I either read it wrong or typed it wrong, sorry.
Thanks for the French translation. I knew it must have meant something.

I saw Letterman but not Fallon. How was she on Fallon?

T-minus 10minutes till Belle Chose!!

I'll give it an above average. While I think Whedon should be coming out of the gate a little more strongly for season two, it was still a good story. Didn't expect Echo to get the serial killer personality although I probably should have seen that coming. Would have been interesting if every active got that guy's personality.

The actor who played Viktor did a great job as the killer (can't remember the character's name) and Kiki. Nice to see Ballard back in FBI mode and it's always good to see Michael Hogan. Dollhouse dress guy was pretty funny too.

This was a better episode than last week's. It's funny how this season the "story" stars all the side characters while Echo is off on a standalone assignment almost totally secondary to the "main" plot.

I saw Letterman but not Fallon. How was she on Fallon?
First, there was the usual chit-chat with Jimmy about her life. She wore a cute dress. She changed into pants during the commercial break. Then, to wrap up her segment, she demonstrated some of her fighting moves with Jimmy as the weak beta-male opponent. :)

^^^
Thanks for the Fallon recap. She changed into pants? WTF?

I grade this Above Average.
I think that while despite Echo seemingly being separate doing her own thing while the more interesting House storylines play out its overall important. As Echo accumulates different traits and techniques for when she becomes full self aware as Echo.

The Dollhouse "fashion consultant" was a nice new character addition to the show. I enjoyed his limited, as it should be, role in tonights episode. The episode needed some Sierra tonight. Victor stole the show as Kiki at the nightclub. He, the actor, really seems capable of range.

The Sierra origin episode for two weeks away on 10/23 looks good. Its too bad we can't be sure we'll see it air as of yet.

It was alright, I suppose. I agree with what a number of people have said: the story on the Dollhouse side of things was far more interesting than Echo and her 'lemman', Victor got range, and the technology is moving in an ominous direction (yes, even more ominous than usual... Topher has ethical issues, ha). I was thinking, and might have preferred, that all the actives in the field would have been imprinted with Terry, but I suppose they're not quite ready for that kind of mayham just yet. Our creepy serial killer actually reminded me of Topher, perhaps in the way they dress.

I've got to wonder just how well kept a secret the Dollhouse is, and how costly it's services, when apparently an English Lit. prof at a liberal arts college, even an apparently well-endowed one, knows of and can hire an active to play Educating Rita with. Maybe he had family connections.

Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

I thought it started of fairly strong, and then weakened. Which is strange because I was more drunk at the end than at the beginning... so it really must have gone to shit. I voted Average.

Michael Hogan was a little underutilized but, the BSG parade continues. I guess it's good those people are getting work. Would it kill them to have Grace Park pay for a lesbian encounter on here or something? I think that's the logical next step for the BSG cast parade.

I watched Dr Horrible's Singalong Blog yesterday. Now THAT was good Whedon!

^Complete with the gratuitous tragic ending.

it's always good to see Michael Hogan.

With both eyes no less!;)

I was wondering that myself.

I liked this episode. It was an improvement from last week. With his performance as Kiki, once again Enver Gjokaj (or however you spell it) has proved that he is ten times the actor Eliza Dushku is. I realize that there would be no Dollhouse at all without Eliza Dushku. However, I can't help but think that this might be a much more compelling & convincing show with Victor as the central character.

I hate this waiting to see if FOX will actually air the episodes they advertised for post-baseball. This melodramatic save-our-show BS is the reason why I stopped watching live TV and just kept up with everything with DVDs.

Not to mention with how bad security is at the Dollhouse (Terry/Viktor esacping with his uncle) I'm amazed it's remained a secret for this long.

I was kind of hoping Hogan would be cast as a DH bigwig or something but nice to see him anyway, with, as another poster said, both eyes.

So ratings are in with a very slight uptick. 2.56 > 2.09 > 2.25. Is this enough to keep the remaining filmed episodes actually airing? Enough to keep production on the full 13?

That was a problem with last week's episode, too. How, exactly, did the wiped-but-glitching Echo escape the Dollhouse? As we saw last season, it's not that easy to get out.

Enver Gjokaj (Victor) once again proves that he's the best actor on the show. Seriously, I realize that the show depends upon the "sexpot plotline" as the go-to story, but Gjokaj should really be this show's lead.

She was able to get out once before, even made it to the parkin' garage entrance/exit.

As established this season, Echo still has those memories, so she knows her way around. Basically, I think its Paul and the promise that he will help her find Caroline that's keepin' her in the Dollhouse, since she can pretty much leave at any time, as Echo.

Just finished watchin' the episode online at FOX.com. When I saw Michael Hogan's name as a guest star, I was hopin' he'd have more than a couple of scenes. He was awesome as Tigh, but really, kind of dull here.

But, they did leave it open for him to come back, if the show continues, since he's connected to Rossom (sp?).

I did like Topher tryin' to do a remote wipe, which Alpha was able to do, but Topher had trouble. Made me wonder, though, did any other Actives have negative and/or swapped personalities? 'cause if it was just Echo and Victor, that's just too coincidental. Would have been nice of 'em to establish it was a multi-Active screw up some how or another, and not just a mind swap.

Best part -

"I won't even do this for my wife."
"I was trained at Quantico."

 :guffaw:

And no Sierra this week. :(
