Which would you like to live on?

OK, so now think about all the ships we've seen in all the shows, and you can include DS9 if you want to. On which ship would like to live and why?

I loved the seeming luxury of Enterprise-D, but l actually prefer the more intimate feel of Voyager. The small galley and the meal break room make for nice visiting with friends, although 10-Forward was nice if bigger. Rooms were great on the D but that was the officers quarters. Not sure what lower ranks enjoyed.

Anyway, ideas? Opinions?

Enterprise-D!

"There's a low gravity gymnasium, too.
It'd be hard to get bored on this ship."

Enterprise-D. Replicators and a holodeck; what more could you ask for?

I'd rather hang out with TOS crew than TNG crew, but then, I could always do that via the aforementioned holodeck on the Enterprise-D.

I'm going for the Enterprise D as well. Ten-Forward, replicators, holodecks, the gyms etc. Its awesome~I just hope they add a little more color to the place....as it is, it's pretty drab looking.

Earth Spacedock.

Man, that thing is huge. Plus you get to play starship spotting, and pop down to Earth whenever you feel like it.

I would have to say Voyager but in the Alpha Quadrant, smaller so you would know more of the crew and have a more family atmosphere.

I think I have to agree with Spacedock at Earth. They would have the most modern facilities, plus you're close enough to Earth for a quick get away or some fresh air. I'd like to think I'd have some access to all the ships that come through.

I kind of liked the look of the colony on Deneva. I wouldn't mind living there -- after the invasion of the flying pancake creatures, of course! It would've been interesting if one of the characters from the 24th century ST shows had grown up on Deneva.

Second choice would be the Enterprise-D or another Galaxy-class ship, as a newly minted helm officer on Gamma shift.

I guess third choice would be Deep Space Nine because of the wormhole. Plus, Bajoran women are hot! Wouldn't mind hanging out at Quark's and picking that Ferengi's brain.

I'd choose DS9. Cardassian architecture is far more pleasing to my eye than the Federation type (Federation looks very antiseptic, hospital-like, very glaring and difficult on the eye...Cardassian is very graceful, Gothic-Deco-like, and not so glaring--lots of little details to look at, too, so you'd never get bored). The station being Bajoran territory instead of Federation is another big plus to me; I'm rather ambivalent about the Federation. I like the Bajoran people (yes, yes, I know, I AM a Cardassian fan, but I like them too!) and think I could live more comfortably around their culture than I could human culture of the 24th century. At least they wouldn't look at me like I was crazy for believing in something beyond what the eye could see.

Also add to the list the VERY practical reason that it would be far easier for me to get a job on DS9. I don't think I'm Starfleet material, and I know there is civilian work available on DS9. My current experience is in retail, so I imagine I could find a job...

I would want to live on DS9 for pretty much the same reasons Nerys Ghemor said. Plus, it's stationary, which lends more of a sense of permanence that is missing on a starship that goes from one place to another all the time.

DS9 FTW. The interior decor is cool and there's plenty of space.

Me too, plus I'd want the Enterprise-D, and the Defiant docked at the station to take me anywhere I want to go. The Defiant for short trips, and the Enterprise-D for longer ones.

Definitely DS9. In some ways, it reminds me of my home town (only bigger and much more diverse). I could see myself being a regular at Quarks.

If I had to choose a starship, I'd go with the original Enterprise. Seemed a lot less stuffy than the rest.
