Star Trek: Nero Comics (Spoilers?, New Info?)

Star Trek: Nero #1,2 are now on sale from IDW Productions.

According to Nero #2:

- Nero spent the ensuing years after the opening sequence of the movie on Rura Penthe prison asteroid.

- Ayel speaks for Nero because they developed telepathic powers during their prison time due to drugs.

- Oh....Nero is a druggie. See above. That might explain some of his thought processes.

- A Federation expatriate/fellow prisoner/star map specialist is the one who informs Nero that Spock was swept back in time just as he had been, and when Spock would come out.

- Nero is broken out of jail when Rura Penthe is attacked by....the Narada?!

To be continued....

Someone here said the new comics reveal that Nero's crew ATE the remains of Captain Robau after he was killed. Now THAT'S red meat so badass it puts hair on your chest...if not your head.

^
That's what someone in an earlier thread about the NERO comics said. I haven't read them yet...so I can't confirm that tidbit.

But if true...at least Robau was turned into a greasy, sumptuous Badasswich.:techman:

^^ Nero wanted to put Robau in the wast recycling thingy, but then Klingons attacked before they could.
I guess the Klingons have the body now...

Ok, so i read that as recyling the body to use for energy/power. not eating. or am i still not getting it?

Either way, Robau went to GOOD use.

Because if he hadn't? He'd have come back to life and kicked Nero's ass.

Robau should never be allowed to be defeated and turned into a food product...but if he HAS to be? Serve him with steak fries, A-1 and onion rings.

He is now the Empire's new ceremonial Emperor and figurehead.

Emperor B'Adass.

Let's keep this thread about the comic, and not have it become Yet Another cooleddie Spam Thread™, 'K? You've been threatening to monopolize a couple of the regular spam threads, as it is.

Edit:

Here's a link to TrekMovie's preview of ST: Nero #2.

Yeah I'm kinda wondering WHY the fark Paramount didn't make sure these comics were out BEFORE the fruckin' movie.

And hey at least they said what happened to Robau.

Although what could have been cool is that while he was "terminated" it was just the sensor in his uniform or something and they brought him back. ;)

I'm guessing they managed to input the data to find Spock into the ship's computer before the Klingons attacked and when the Klingons took over, the ship's computer set up a subroutine to retrieve Nero and the crew near the date calculated by the computer, then take them to Spock's projected location.

Nope. Nero is just as clueless as anyone else as to why the Narada is doing what it's doing. He seems to just think it's alive somehow. He's wacked out of his mind on Klingon peyote anyway.

Plus, Nero still isn't entirely sure Spock will come out of the wormhole at this point.

It could be that he didn't know the ship could do that, especially since this comic asserts that Countdown's uber-Borg upgrades were installed. Besides, TNG plus already had the ship's computer pretty much running a ship with one person, then Voyager had a hologram doing it, so what's to say that the Romulans couldn't install some limited AI in their mining ships to ensure they got the ores in case the whole crew died?

Ayel was speaking for Nero before they even went to Prison though. "I will speak for Captain Nero."
