Only pen and paper

I asked this question several years ago but I think we should try it again.

You are accidently locked in a room. You do not have a cell phone on you. You realise that you won't be discovered until the following morning.

The only thing that are in the room is a desk and chair, pens and a heap of blank paper. What will you do for the next few hours?

P.S. luckily there is also restroom that you can have access to.

First off, write a note and slip it underneath the door - just in case someone does go by. Is there a window? throw some messages out of there too.

After that, sit down and write a story

Incidentally I once found myself locked in a gymnasium and faced with a choice between spending the night, breaking down a reasonably solid and expensive-looking door, and a ~4m drop to the court below, from which the fire exit was accessible. After careful deliberation I opted for the drop.

I'd arrange some paper in the middle of the floor and lay upon it in a crucifix position.

Then I'd close my eyes and think about an interesting computational problem I'd stumbled upon in one of my projects, and design some algorithms to tackle it.

The pens wouldn't be needed

I would need more than a few hours, but I set this type of situation up from time to time for myself... the results can be seen here (which is some of the actual sheets of my work).

Pen, paper and my mind are more than enough to keep me entertained for weeks.

I'd probably start writing diary entries on the paper. That's what ends up happening when I am bored at work. I start writing about my thoughts and feelings on any paper I can find.

Make notes for some writing projects I'm already working on. Actually using pen and paper now, the thoughts just seem to flow easier. And free of interruption would be a wonderful thing.

So, Jadzia, you're really some kind of Cylon, that can impress algorithms onto paper without a pen? Sweet.
