Mythbusters - Kari's Temporary Replacement

While Kari Byron is on maternity leave, Jessi Combs will be standing in for her.

She has a (distinctly iWeb generated) personal website here too. Seems her expertise is in metal work. So, basically, Scottie without the tattoos. :)

What, you mean Grant didn't just build a robot co-host? :D

Actually she has got some tattoos, just less conspicuous ones. Check the gallery on her website.

She actually looks a little like Scottie. I Googled for some video of her; she's okay, though her voice is ever so slightly annoying.

When are her episodes going to air? For that matter, when are new episodes coming back, period?

Wasn't she already in some episodes? I seem to remember her from somewhere.

Maybe I'm thinking of Scottie.

edit:
After some searching it appears I am incorrect

Well, that's a whole different set of design parameters than for a TV co-host.... :D (Though admittedly with some overlap on the aesthetic side.)

^Who are Paula and Kara? (I'm assuming you don't mean "Kari" by "Kara" since you get her name right three words later.)

Oh, yay. The got a stereotypicaly cute blonde girl.

WTG to guys!

Can't wait till Kari returns.

This girl is a real guys girl though, if you've seen her on TV you know what I mean. She's the kind of girl you really want to know.

Going by her bio, it would seem that she's as qualified to be a Mythbuster as anyone else on the show, so I'm not sure what the problem is beyond her hair colour.

Specieswide, isn't blond one of the rarest hair colors? That's why it's traditionally been held in such high esteem. If blondes are a dime a dozen, that's more to do with hair dye than genetics. (Red hair is actually the rarest color -- naturally, at least.)

Let me see :

"Jessi graduated at the top of her class from WyoTech in Laramie, Wyo., having studied and excelled in the areas of collision/refinishing, street-rod fabrication, chassis fab and high-performance engines. Her school achievements led to immediate employment fabricating, customizing and painting a 1964 Mercury Cyclone bracket car as the school's SEMA show car.
From there, Jessi's career accelerated from inside the garage to the TV screen. She's appeared as a guest fabricator in the "SpeedAir" and "Cherry Nova" episodes of the TLC series Overhaulin', and co-hosted more than 80 episodes of Xtreme 4x4 on Spike."

Yeah, definitely a dime a dozen, stereotypically cute blonde girl

To me, from pure superficial apperance, she's a sterotypical pretty blonde. It's trying to appeal to "the base."

Give me Kari any day.

(Though I wouldn't kick this chick out of bed. ;))
