80's technology picture thread!

Camera and computer and internet have been very uncooperative in getting these pictures to you this evening.

I bring you, one of my CDs, dating from 1988.

and my 5.25" disk box, dating from 1986. I use this to store loose CDs.

I love how they were lockable - as if that would deter anyone from stealing your Oregon Trail if they really wanted to. Sort of like those hooks on screen doors that pass as a "lock".

I still have my Ferguson Videostar VHS player ecorder. It outlasted the Akai video player we bought to replace it in the early 90s. :rommie:

Now it's dead.

I still have my BBC Micro somewhere, plus a BBC B+ I bought second-hand about 10 years ago. :D

Furby was truly evil. Especially if you ever got three or four of them together. *shudder*

Awww, I loved my Furbies. They were creepy, but I loved them. If you put them opposite one another they used to sing together.

Kaah noo aye aye! Waah! Bright light!

SMS for the win! Too bad they had to go and ruin it with the Genesis. :(

What's wrong with Sega Genesis? I had many years of fun with mine (and my Nomad). I was just playing some Genesis games yesterday.

Well, it started out okay, but become kind of pedestrian. Plus, by the time, Sega was too interested with with trying other things instead of sticking with what worked.

I strongly believe that, had they forgone the Sega CD, Saturn, and all the business and delayed the Dreamcast a few years, the PlayStation would have gone the way of the 3DO.

Yes, but did Sega have anything this bodacious and to the max as this:

Though that guy's hair is pretty cool...

Dood! Power Glove = Ownage!

I know. I had one.

When it was time to throw down the gauntlet, you could throw down the gauntlet.

...And that was about all.
