Don't Drink Tea or Coffee!!!!!!

I think you need to calm down.

Yeah, methinks the same. Saracasm is a fleeting thing these days.

And where in there is sarcasm? Perhaps you're mistaking flat out nastiness with sarcasm. Maybe it was a bit over the top -- but it's pretty boring around here today and there is snobishness going on (yes it's a word) But that doesn't matter anymore since I'm off work in a few minutes anyway....my work is done...for the moment.

People are being snobs...about ICED TEA. Think about the subject matter for a second and try and realize just how mean anyone could possibly be acting.

You'll forgive me if I don't take advice from Tachyon Shield on what I should do with my life.

;)

Trekker, sweet tea drinker

Seriously, it was a joke. Please take it as such.

Ok I will...it would help me if you threw in a smiley face for me though at the end. Underneath this gruff exterior I really can be quite sensitive. :wah:

The one who was acting mean was me. :( I think I deserve a spanking for that. :techman:

Ah.. no problem. Let me try this again:

Maybe she means the Long Island variety....

That was my drink back in my twenties. It was very economical.

But my ice-tea doesn't have actual tea in it silly! It's made with sugar and water and fake flavoring and coloring.....only healthy stuff.

This is a travesty.

Indeed - it hurt my eyes reading that. ;) :vulcan:

Cutting caffeine out of my life altogether has made me feel much better. I didn't really do it on purpose, I just drank less and less soda and tea over time (never liked coffee). I like the taste but it felt better to drink water and juice so that's what I did. And then one day I realized that I haven't had soda or tea in a long time, and it felt good.

For months now i've been suffering from heart problems, headaches and high blood pressure. usually the heart problems are in the form of palpitations followed by a shortness of breath and a pain in the side of my head and behind my eye.

Anyway a couple or more months ago I went to the doctors and they asked me how much Tea do I drink. I generally drink Tea all day none stop, I finish one cup and I make another.
Well the doctor said I should cut down on it but I didn't listen and carried on.

Well anyway my health got worse and the other day I decided to start eating and drinking healthy so i've stopped drinking Tea altogether and started drinking some Pomegranate and Acai berry juice.

3 days later the health problems i've had for about a year has suddenly vanished.

The doctor was right! it's the :censored: Tea that's been causing my problems!

DON'T DRINK TEA OR COFFEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So you're Christopher Hitchens? Switch to scotch.

I'm partial to rooibos (African Redbush)

They used to drink that in the war when they couldn't get hold of regular tea because of the rationing. It has a negative reputation for that reason -- it was the stuff you had to drink when you were without the stuff you wanted.

I have tried it. I found it to have quite a rough flavour. I didn't much enjoy it.

I've tried quite a few herbal brews, and fruit teas, but earl grey and green tea have always remained my favourites. I always end up back with them.

Oh, I fully admit to being an iced tea snob. I went to school in the South. Ain't nothing wussy about actual real sweet tea. It'll make your teeth sweat.

I'm also a coffee snob. And a beer snob. And a BBQ snob. And a literature snob. And a film snob. And a weed snob. And an anti-carpet snob. And a take-it-with-a-grain-of-salt snob. I'm quite snobbish. And proud of it. :)

You effin' snob.

Hogwash! Tea does wonders to the body. I drink green tea regularly, and white tea is even said to have more antioxidants. I don't see any health reasons to stop drinking it.

Love's ya, doll! :techman:

Is now a good time to reuse the "all proper tea is theft" joke again? [NO! - someone] OK.

For months now i've been suffering from heart problems, headaches and high blood pressure. usually the heart problems are in the form of palpitations followed by a shortness of breath and a pain in the side of my head and behind my eye.

I generally drink Tea all day none stop, I finish one cup and I make another.

Sometimes I wonder if I learnt anything in Medical School, and then I'm reminded that we're taught that it's a really bad idea to drink a caffeinated beverage continuously all day long. I mean, I could never have figured that out without some sort of highly advanced training. Common sense just doesn't provide for that kind of thinking!
I recall the worst experience I ever had with a cup of coffee was an Americano taken one lunchtime at work. About half an hour alter I started getting palpitations and my pulse was going very slowly. I felt giddy and very high at the time, to the point where I couldn't stop laughing at one moment.

I might try it again one day. :)

You know what you call an Englishman without his tea?

French.
Dude. That hurt. :(

:guffaw:
