A question for fans of Abrams Trek...

Just wondering if any of you'd recommend any of Abrams other work... all I've seen was Mission Impossible III, and I very much liked it.

Lost is highly thought of, but I've never taken the time to watch it.
Alias had Jennifer Garner, 'nuff said.
Fringe is a fabulous X-Files-y genre show.
Cloverfield I've never seen.

I am a huge fan of Fringe as well.

Abrams produced Cloverfield , but didn't direct. It wasn't until I bought the DVD and heard the commentary that I knew exactly how much Abrams contributed to the film, and it was considerable.

I heard Nimoy was gonna be on it...
Must... watch... it... then... !

Yeah, he already showed up in the season finale and had a bit of voice work earlier. But he's going to be in a number of episodes this upcoming season.

I would definitely recommend going back and watching the first season though...there's a lot of stuff going on.

LOST is an awesome show, but Abrams' involvement in it has been minimal after the pilot episode.

Still, the pilot (which was great) is definitely his work as he wrote and directed it, so I guess I could recommend it.

I've only began to watch Fringe, but it looks like an interesting show.

I'm in two minds about Alias, it's not as bad show but I prefered La Femme Nikita. And while Alias had good acting and action and some interesting characters, its storyline left a lot to be desired.

Felicity!

ARGH I watched that show... At first I liked it, even though Felicity's whiny pathetic ways bugged me... but since the end of S1 it irritated me to no end with the stupid endless love triangle. :klingon: It was worse than Jack/Kate/Sawyer in Lost. I actually watched it all the way through, but it was one of those cases where you just can't bring yourself to stop watching a show only because you had watched it from the start, no matter how much it annoys you and how much worse it gets all the time. :brickwall:

I could barely watch La Femme Nikita, and I tend to enjoy stuff like that. Peta Wilson was certainly worth watching it for..... but I just couldn't sit through it.

Alias on the other hand was a lot of fun.

I liked Felicity. Didn't watch Alias because it was a rip-off of a superior series, IMNSHO, La Femme Nikita. Haven't gotten into Lost. I liked MI:3 except for the unnecessary romance.

Lost is great, but I'm indifferent to Alias, Felicity, La Femme Nikita and Fringe. Don't even want to bother with Cloverfield. Not a big fan of MI. I suspect I like "his" stuff depending on who else is involved - actors and writers.

God, I loved La Femme Nikita- such an austere stylishness! I'll have to check out some of these other shows. I hadn't watched Lost from the beginning and it is a difficult, murky show to drop into midstream, I've found, so I've given up on that. I'd have to start from the very beginning, but something about it grates for me, and I sense the pay-off might not be worth the patience required.

JJ wrote the screenplay for Regarding Henry... he even has a quick cameo as a delivery boy. Quite a good film.
