Meat or veggies. Which do you eat first?

What do you eat first?

It really depends...If it's a salad for veggies I'll probably eat that first. Other than that I'll usually start with the starch, whether it's potatoes or bread, then the meat (as others have mentioned it's better hot!), then the veggies if there are any. That's if I'm having a traditional dinner like roast or chicken or steak. Pasta night usually the pasta gets eaten first (tomato sauce counts as a vegetable, right? ;) ). If it's some kind of Asian dish like fried rice or Pad Thai I'll just everything all together. I'm kinda weird in that I like to eat one thing at a time, I know. Oh well.

I believe that, almost by definition of the act, one has to "eat" the meat first in order to even GET to the veggies -if one has the prowess to even get to them.

...

Wait.

That's not what we're talking about, is it?

I eat meat first. But it's in the same way that in the true version of Star Wars, Han shot "first".

IOW, I just eat the meat. :p Veggies are ick (well, most anyway).
And before you slap me in the head like in the commercials, I hate V8 too. ;)

How about V8 Fusion?! It's the fruit juice version of V8. You still get your full serving of fruits and veggies in every glass, but it tastes like real juice...not tomato juice. Blech.

Tell me, What's your take on V8? Is it good?

I'll usually alternate, even mixing stuff together if I think it'll go well (like if there's roasted red peppers or mushrooms along with a steak) but I'll make sure my last bites are whatever I like the most, which is usually the meat.

I really like the Peach Mango V8 Fusion. Regular V8 is gross.

I will try it. Thanks very much.
There are 5 or 6 different flavors of the Fusion. I've tried them all, but Peach Mango is my favorite. My best friend likes the Strawberry Banana.

They also make "light" versions of them, which have less sugar but still taste pretty good.

Me too. Except that I'm positively anal about it ... there has to be exactly one bite of each thing left when I'm almost done, and I save the very last bite for whichever dish I liked the most, and that could be either a veggie or meat - totally depends on my mood, and how the dish was prepared.

My family taunts me mercilessly about how I eat. It's so precise and measured ... it's pretty neurotic, actually.

Bunch of depraved weirdos, the lot of you. :p
Warning for Flaming. Comments to PM.

Hah. I always wanted to do that.

When I was a kid, my Grandmother used to make something called "Mother's Goodies." It was ground hamburger mixed with vegetable soup and poured over mashed potatoes; so you'd get a bit of everything in every scoop. :D

Strawberry Banana is not my favorite. Light version of them sounds really good, you need to be careful with how much sugar you're drinking in it. It can cause you to having diabetes. First of first, my grandfather did learned his lesson when he drank too much soft drinks with too much sugar in it, wait, no. More than soft drink, actually! He ate too much fatty foods. For that result, he died at the ripe age of 70.

Yeah, I like Fusion. Just not the regular V8.

I really love all vegetables, just as much as the meat. And I've been creating "the perfect bite" ever since I can remember. I especially love doing that with an English breakfast - a base layer of toast, with egg, then tomato, and topped of with a mushroom.
I remember watching The Mirror has two faces, and thinking, hey, that's my thing! :p

Jesus, half of those are too hard to pronounce. That's probably why you don't like them.
