As of Right Now Star Trek is the number one movie for 2009!

With Star Trek and Transformers lighting up the box office, I wonder if anyone at Paramount is thinking... crossover?

would've been an excellent idea if the enterprise got sucked into that wormhole at the end and emerged into 2011 when the "revenge of the fallen" have taken over the earth.

Actually, for whatever advertising they continue to do, "No. 1 Movie of 2009" should be used for as long as... it lasts.

The most it can hope to do is $200,000 it just lost over 500 theaters from last Tuesday when it did about that, That would bring it just under $194 million

All Trek needs today is 2.9 Million and we are there. When you consider it is now at 4053 screens and last Tuesday it only had 3860 screens and did $3.3 million, I think it's safe to say we are there now.

Time to celebrate, even it misses by a hair today, we will be there Wednesday for sure.

Yes we are the champions, at least until Transformers comes out.
When was the last time Trek was number one? Has it ever happened before?

God help American culture, if Star Trek is the number one summer movie.

As Cyrus pointed out in my other thread, this number can't be right. Trek was at $191 million yesterday + $2 million Tuesday = $193 million (not $195 million).
