TOS had many laughable outfits for the aliens-of-the-week, leading me to believe their costume budgets were sometimes in the single digits. What do you consider the cheesiest? Only consider clothing. Otherwise the Tellarites would probably win. ;)

I say anything that made an alien look like it had an ass on the back of it's head.

I don't think Tellarite make-up was all that bad.

Costumes? Easy--the warriors from "Friday's Child" are the run-away winners of the fromage.

Even with the 1-inch gap between their eyes and the eye-holes in their masks? ;)

I guess any costume made from tin foil, shower curtains, or window drapes would qualify as cheesy. But I guess my vote would be for the cheese colored command shirts. Long live avacados!!!!

I agree. In the Top 5 of the worst alien outfits.

    (Star Trek, "Friday's Child")

It will be on season 2 Blu-ray for you to check out the detail on those costumes...

I think that the Fabrini from "And the world is hollow..." were just comical. The constumes of the Troyans from "Elaan of Troyius" were pretty bad as well

I'd have to add for at least honorable mention: The dudes from A Taste of Armageddon. Come on, guys. You either tuck the pants in the boots, or you let them hang over. You don't do both!

The 'Friday's Child' costumes were unappealing, but to me anything that was made with that then super-trendy metallic/shiny stuff dated badly. So in that regard, the Tellarites clothing and the Scalosians from 'Wink of an Eye' come to mind. However, so were the Elasians. Maybe the Scalosians and Elasians could fight it out? :rommie:

The Fabrini have always stuck at as superlame, to me. I think the hat makes that costume worse than some of the others.

I vote for the Elasian mens' outfits. Made of thin foam and glitter.

I gotta admit that the Elasian uniforms always looked like something from an old Flash Gordon serial. Silly-fun, but not something that could ever be taken seriously.

The bathrobes of the Fabrini men. The Fabrini were stylin' in their Snuggies way back in the Sixties. OH YEAH‼ ;)

    :wtf:

THAT was the design of the Tellarites! It was part of their swine-like appearance; deep set eyes...

You thought it was a malfunction of the actor's mask??

But there's a big open space between the mask and their eyes, with no "skin"

The Tellarite uniforms were pretty awful. The base material wasn't too bad, if you have a high definition screen and can see the fabric pattern. But from a distance it looked like some bland cheap silver material. And those large metallic rectangles glued on the outside looked so silly.

The Andorian ambassador looked alright... his tunic vest was some elaborate paisley design. But his sidekick who later stabs Kirk has this medieval looking tunic that just screams cheesy. Green felt fabric with pyramid chrome studs, laid over some chainmail kind of shirt. Ridiculous for a space faring species.

You can see both of these awful costumes on the Trek Core website screen cap section (Tellarite, Andorian).

But hands down the worst alien outfit belonged to the evil alien from "And The Children Shall Lead"... it's reported to have been made from a shower curtain.

Behind those ones, I'd say Bele and Lokai's getups were pretty ridiculous. Bland gray fabric for top, bottom, and gloves, along with form fitting leggings that show off their "packages." Also, that ridiculous silver trim around their collars and waists. Like a bunch of circus acrobats. :guffaw:
