I've always wondered whether "Ricardo Villamonte" was a typo for Ricardo Villagran or a completely different inker with a coincidentally similar name.

They are two different inkers -- with, I might add, two radically different inking styles.

Just saw Treason, along with the Countdown TPB out today. I didn't see the TNG Manga through. Kind of sucked, since I have been looking forward to that one since the announcement. The Countdown TPB didn't change at all from the 4 issues. There is some artwork in the back, along with an Afterward.

Alien Spotlight: Klingons will be out next Wednesday, the 15th (as will Farscape: Strange Detractors #1).

The Countdown TPB didn't change at all from the 4 issues. There is some artwork in the back, along with an Afterward.

I'm not sure what kind of change you were expecting, but there was one change -- the reference in issue 1 to Spock having lived on Romulus for 40 years has been corrected to 20 years.

Had an e-mail saying my copies of the April books are en-route today rather than in a few weeks' time. :)

Just for those who might be interested in getting TNG Manga that comes out this week, well its out. I don't know how stupid I was but I didn't see the display it was on, along with the BSG Manga too. I was going to buy that one too but didn't quite yet. Thinking of going back tonight before work. That same BnN doesn't have any more copies of Countdown. I'm thinking of buying it now since i looked at it again and noticed the details of the artwork.

The new series. Theres only 3 stories but its set during the year the fleet is divided and people are on New Caprica.

Re: Star Trek: The Next Generation Vol. 1 Manga images

I find the artwork of Riker to be awful. It look nothing like him.

The manga style is intentionally caricatured. If you expect accurate likenesses, you're looking in the wrong place. This is an interpretation of Riker as filtered through manga character design conventions.

I bought the TNG Manga yesterday, and my favorite art is in the Diane Duane story (illustrated by Chrissy Delk). It's very cartoony, sometimes a bit sketchy, but the characters are wonderfully expressive.

I've never really taken the time to really look at and in turn read Manga (and have only seen a few Anime films - not sure if Pokemon counts) but what I just saw (the first link) I really did in fact like and it seemed like a rather interesting story :bolian:
