Possible covers and info for upcoming books (spoilers obviously)

I was looking at the new pocket catalogue, and now that I know how trustworthy it is I take it all with a grain of salt.
So instead of posting their whole descriptions I was just gonna give a basic description to see if it's right.
Titan Synthesis: Titan encounters a planet of artificial intelligences.

Enterprise The Romulan War: The Romulans want to attack Earth.
(only has a stand in cover)
Vanguard Precipice: Reyes joins forces with former enemies, and a player becomes active in the Torus Reach.

Voyager Unworthy: As part of their invesigation into the Caeliar's disapearance, 7 and Chakotay rendezvous with the Starfleet ships in the DQ.

Two thoughts:

a.) Who's with Riker on the Titan cover?

b.) Is it just me, or does the Vanguard cover look like it was made with Star Trek: Bridge Commander? Not that I'm criticizing; I'm guilty of doing that myself.

I'm assuming it was done the same way they did the others. It is done in the same style at least.

There's also a cover for David Mack's novel length version of The Sorrows of Empire in the catalogue:

[shameless plug]And Margaret Wander Bonanno reveals a bit about Unspoken Truth in an upcoming interview at Unreality SF.[/end shameless plug]

Those covers are pretty rough. That cover for Unworthy better change; Chakotay in a leisure suit on the cover of a Voyager novel looks ridiculous. And isn't that pic of Seven the same as the one from Before Dishonor?

At the moment the Unworthy cover looks more like part of a Miami Vice revamp than the Voyager relaunch, but im sure it will change for the better.

It's no doubt a low-resolution preliminary rendering of the cover design, used as a placeholder for the catalogue. Think of it as a sketch of what the final cover will be.

I didn't realize how questionable that one was until Rat Boy pointed it out. Not sure if I would have posted if I did.

And thanks Defcon, I forgot about that one.

Don't forget even through those are placeholders, sometimes they end up being the real covers. That happened with some recently released books, didn't it? I'm not so sure about the Unworthy cover either. I do like the Romulan War one through. Would be interesting to see Shran in a Starfleet uniform.

well, the VGD: Precipice one is real, looking at Doug Drexler's blog...

Same arrangement, but the one on his blog looks a lot more polished. I suspect the catalogue one was just rough version with very basic models.

1) Anyone have the link to the stand- in for Enterprise?

2) The cover for Sorrows is neat. Who's the girl? Final cover?

3) Is Unworthy a sequel to Full Circle or is it a stand alone? (By the way, upon further close up, Paris is right. That pic of Seven is from Before Dishonor or at least similar).

4) And as Ian mentioned, how come we haven't seen a picture of Vale on any covers? So far we have seen almost all characters on Titan covers except maybe her. Why? Come to think of it, will we get a baby pic on a future Titan novel?

The blurb for Synthesis contains also some nice infos about the upcoming Typhon-Pact-Crossover:

The sixth astonishing novel in the
bestselling Star Trek: Titan series delivers
another mind-bending adventure as the
anticipation builds toward 2010’s six-part
Star Trek novel event, The Typhon Pact.

Now a new father, Captain Riker leads the
starship Titan toward contact with a civilization
made up of artificial intelligences—sentient
computers who have surrounded a vast gasgiant
planet, serving as the first line of defense
against an ominous threat that the crew
can scarcely comprehend. The AIs’ long and
turbulent history has given them deeply routed
distrust of organics...leading to an unexpected
act that radically transforms the dynamic
between the ship and its crew.

Six books, sounds like the first half of the year is primarily devoted to TOS, the second half more or less completely to Post Destiny. If this turns out to be true, 2010 could become one hell of a year, maybe not as balanced between the series as for example this year, ut i' sure, the vast of majority of the readers is most interested in the Post-Destiny-arc anyway. But thats a lot of speculation at this point, let's wait what Shore leave is going to reveal...

I normally like covers with people on (more of a ships person) but this one sort of appeals to me, I hope the final one isn't too different.

2) The cover for Sorrows is neat. Who's the girl? Final cover?
That'd be Marlena Moreau

3) Is Unworthy a sequel to Full Circle or is it a stand alone? (By the way, upon further close up, Paris is right. That pic of Seven is from Before Dishonor or at least similar).
Like any novel I'm sure you could read it standalone as the author will provide enough information for it to make sense. But Full Circle establishes a lot of new stuff, I'd think reading it first would significantly enhance what follows.
