If you share a bed

Which side of the bed do you prefer to sleep on? To avoid confusion imagine you are lying in the bed on your back - do you prefer the left side or the right?

I do not share a bed any more but I still go to sleep on the left side of the bed. When I was married I used to sleep on the left side.

I typically sleep on the left side... even now that my wife is working overnight and I have the bed to myself. Old habits and all, I suppose.

The only one I share a bed with is my wife. She ALWAYS claims the side of the bed which is closest to the route to the bathroom. At home that leaves me on the left. In a hotel room, it varies.

At home, I sleep on the right, because the right side has room for a proper bedside table, which hubby needs for his alarm. Both sides allow a pretty clear path to the bathroom.

When we travel or go to my mother's, I pick whichever side is closest to the bathroom, because I'm far more likely to have to get up in the middle of the night. When we stay at my Mom's, that puts me on the left.

I really don't care what side of the bed I sleep on.

If i shared a bed, it would be the side that is easiest to get out of because i tend to wake up a few times at night to go to the bathroom.

When sharing the bed with hubby, I'm on the right side.

If I sleep alone, I always select the side closest to the bathroom.

However, I have been trying to sleep in the middle lately. I've got a Queen-sized bed. Why not use it?

^ I'm just the opposite of her. I always sleep on the right side of the bed, even when I'm alone.

Closest to the wall... wherever it is. If there is no wall nearby on either side, then it doesn't matter.

Along the same lines, we also don't share blankets. He is extremely hot natured and I'm under 2 blankets even in the middle of the summer.

I go to sleep on the left side at my condo and the right side at her condo. Must have some thing to do with the orientation of the bed. At my condo the head of the bed is North and at her condo it's South. Or maybe it's the side close to the door. It's the same building. Now I'll start wondering about it.
