Whoa. I have to get one of these. Here's the link!http://www.starshipmodeler.biz/index.cfm?fuseaction=Product.display&product_id=1422OH MY GAAWWD! DEC can't come SOOOONNN Enough!
Hey guy's all we need now is a 1/1000 U.S.S. RELIANT, and then we can act out ST2!(zap-blam-kachom!)

I'm willing to bet a resin conversion kit will come of some garage kit company by March. If their leisurely about it.
After a reliant, I REALLY want a Klingon Ka'Tinga class battlecrusier from the MOVIES!I'll make my own armada!
Also, you guys are aware that R2 is coming out with an Akira Class by the end of the year, right?
Yes I do, I used to have the Klingon Ka'Tinga model as a kid. But I would really like to get one in scale to the other 1/1000 kits out there!Let me start by saying, it's about flipin' time. I've been waiting for this kit for a long time and it was on no one's radar. Anyone want to buy my 1:350?

Unfortunately unlikely. There are a few problems with 1:1000 reliant conversion for this kit. It would require a whole crapload of modification to the saucer section and the nacelles to make it work and why bother when there are already really good complete 1:1000 GK's out there of the Reliant already? I really don't see a big enough demand out there for GK'er to put a bunch of time and energy into that project.
Hopfully they'll just surprise us and release 1:1000 Reliant kit without warning too.

The 1991 Ertl kit from ST:TUC is very good and JT graphics makes an accurizing kit that is flippin' phenomenal (albeit pricey @$90). I was so in love with it, that I bought it when it ifrst came out and I don't even plan to build the kit for another two years.

Which I think is a good idea! As much as I want to see an AKIRA in 1/1000 they (Round2) would not be able to sell to many of them, especialy at the presumed $45-50 price tag per kit! Also, you guys are aware that R2 is coming out with an Akira Class by the end of the year, right?
Nope, the Akira has been put on "indefinite hold" in favor of getting the refit kit out first.
Actually, they claim the Akira is one of their most-requested subjects, so I assume they'd sell okay. But it's a slam-dunk that the refit will sell better.
Looks nice. The Bandai version was just as nice though. Too bad Bandai didn't make a version of TOS Enterprise.
I ''had'' 3 of the 5 Bandai Japan trek kits. They are beautiful, but there were some MAJOR FLAWS!Looks nice. The Bandai version was just as nice though. Too bad Bandai didn't make a version of TOS Enterprise.
Do you actually own a Bandai version or are you making this assessment based on the box art or pictures you've seen online?
