Chip 'N Dale; Rescue Rangers

Had a lazy afternoon and ended up rewatching the pilot movie, where the group meets for the first time. Loved this show, particularly Gadget's genius/ditz routine and the villain's preposterous (and preposterously complicated) master plan (he steals a ruby and frames his human archenemy for it, then he uses the ruby to power a laser to cut out a giant block of ice, which he flies south and converts into snow, then into water, and uses to make a giant jello mould, which he uses to create an earthquake in a giant chasm under a gold depot, which causes the floor to give away and all the gold to collapse into the chasm.

This was one of a bunch of Disney shows from that era (DuckTales, Darkwing Duck, TailSpin, Goof Troop) that I watched regularly as a kid.

Cartoons mostly suck today by comparison (though I suppose every generation thinks that).

It might surprise (and perhaps disgust) you to learn that there is in fact a huge amount of Gadget pornography on the Net.

I always wanted to live in Duckberg. I was quite disappointed to find its real life equivalent (San Francisco, at least that's what I always imagined it to be) contained no walking talking anthropomorphic ducks...

I don't know. I loved DuckTales and Rescue Rangers, I also loved Tailspin, but I never got into Darkwing Duck or Goof Troop.

I love this show, Disney made awesome cartoons in the 80s. Ducktales, Gummi Bears, this, and... damn I forgot....

I'd be more freaked out

Imagine, more than 3 million Howard the Duck's and there's your Duckberg.

This show was awesome! I'm so glad this thread is one here, man I used to watch this every day when I was younger.

Count me among the guys with a crush on Gadget. Of course, now that I'm older, I'm mature enough to realize that it would just never work because she's a mouse. (The fact that she's fictional and animated doesn't deter me in the slightest.)

I loved all the vehicles on this show, especially the blimp.

I liked this show a lot, although I'd say I was a bigger fan of Darkwing Duck. I wish kids today had more cartoons like this rather than just importing everything from Japan.
