Okay. I know the song, "Achy Breaky Heart" got overplayed the hell out of, but it did spawn "The Achy Breaky Song" by "Weird Al" Yankovic, and the follow up song, "Where Am I Gonna Live (When I Get Home)?" was pretty good. Billy Ray has a good voice, a pretty decent actor, and has certainly managed his daughter's career extremely well.
I met Billy Ray in the waiting room at my mom's attorney's office, back in '93. He was there for something related to his divorce - can't remember exactly what. But I do remember he was a nice guy, and very down to earth for someone who had enjoyed the celebrity attached to "Achy Breaky Heart".
As for Miley, she still looks like a little girl to me. So, not hot. But then, maybe the age difference is bigger between she and I than between she and Ethros. And I really wish they'd give her songs to Taylor Swift or someone, 'cause her voice is not good, but some of the songs are.

I didn't say she was ugly (well, maybe the "eew" implied that, but that was more a reaction to "IT'S MILEY!!!!1" than anything else
), but there's something about her face that I really don't find pretty. And then, I've seen her talk in interviews and find her speaking voice and personal manner rather off-putting.
I will say this about Miley.
She at least has a degree of talent both in her singing and performance -at least I think so- I've seen some stuff where's she done stuff otuside of the poppy/Hannah Montana nonsense and she shows some real potential when her talents and self nature.
Once she sheds the stink of Disney's manufactured pop-product she could have quite a good career in front of her on stage and likely on film too.
Also, she's atleast a "good" pop role-model for kids as she's got some chaste, geniality, and genuine-ness to her much of which I suspect comes from the very active parts her parents play and that her parents aren't complete loons (I'm looking at you Ms. Spears and Ms. Lohan.)
My niece loves Hannah Montana I don't "fear' for her as much as I would if she loved Brittney or some other trashy pop-star.

Over the past couple of days flicking around the music channels, for some reason, maybe heavy rotation, I must have seen this video Miley Cyrus- Fly on the Wall about five or six times
And whilst debating whether I love or hate the song (as it seems to be good and awful in equal measure) I sort have to admit that she does look hot in the video.
