TV & Media Avatar Contest: "Star Trek actors in non-Star Trek roles."

Re: TV & Media Avatar Contest: "Star Trek actors in non-Star Trek role

Well, if we're going for sci-fi entries then dammit... I'm changing mine!

:guffaw:

I'm not a Picardo fan but that was BY FAR his best role.
You should add text there: "Ah Don't knock, just come on in!"
Done and done. :bolian:

I love how the next line is Quaid going "ah just nail the sonuva bitch!"

:guffaw:

the hell is that?
The Cowboy from Innerspace (played by Robert Picardo). (OK, strictly it's sci-fi, but seeing as many others are posting sci-fi entries, I HAD to enter it. :bolian:)

I just love the whole damn film. :guffaw:

Yeah it's good.

After watching Urban as McCoy, I've decided to change my avatar ONE FINAL TIME as a tribute to Urban's amazing ability to play great characters:

Here's one I'll bet nobody else has...

Patrick Stewart in one of his earliest TV roles: Lenin, in the 1974 BBC series Fall of Eagles:

^^^ The resemblance is spooky.

Re: TV & Media Avatar Contest: "Star Trek actors in non-Star Trek role

Doh. I wasn't thinking when I picked "Jason of Star Command". Technically, that IS a sci-fi series. Feel free to disqualify it and I'll pick another one.

Re: TV & Media Avatar Contest: "Star Trek actors in non-Star Trek role

To be honest, a few others are choosing sci-fi entries, I'm sure they'll make an exception this week.

But if we're not allowed sci-fi entries this week then feel free to enter mine as Captain "Colin" Meaney of Windsor Airways. Otherwise, Cowboy it is then. :D

Re: TV & Media Avatar Contest: "Star Trek actors in non-Star Trek role

^Why should SF be disqualified? A role is a role. The thread title only says non-ST roles, not non-genre.

Re: TV & Media Avatar Contest: "Star Trek actors in non-Star Trek role

I personally don't care what you use, as long as it's non-Star Trek and an actual character they're playing.

Re: TV & Media Avatar Contest: "Star Trek actors in non-Star Trek role

Cowboy it is then! :D

Jan needs to resubmit a smaller picture.

We've got an awful lot of heroes, here - how about some bad guys? Or gals, in this case:

This is Louise Fletcher in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. You thought she was evil in DS9, and she was, but you really need to see her as Nurse Ratched, who had a kind of "resistance is futile" approach to mental health care. ;)

She really is brilliant - won an academy award. Jack Nicholson is great, too. In fact, the whole cast is.

One of the best films ever made. Great book too.

I'm surprised no one put Matt Frewer and his ill-fated attempt to rape Supergirl from Supergirl: "That's...just...the...way...we...are."

Re: TV & Media Avatar Contest: "Star Trek actors in non-Star Trek role

How about Paul Carr (Kelso) in the movie "The Dirt Gang"

Should I use Carr or Stewart as Sejanus?

I thought the opening post said to focus on people who are specifically known as "Trek actors," i.e. regular or major recurring performers from Trek series. Frewer only did one guest spot.

That probably rules out Paul Carr as well.

Shame on you
