World Premiere/Advance screening discussions [SPOILERS GUARANTEED]

Looks like I'll be checking this thread out on a regular basis like the big fat spoiler whore that I am...:D

Why the need for spoiler tags? The thread is clearly marked.

Anyway, thanks for the info Iano.

What did you think about how he did in the part?

OK I'll take over the spoilers for a bit. No cameos. No shat. Kirk is captain, captain for good at the end.

I kinda hate spoilers, tho... but I'm sure they will be forthcoming... so, on second thought, I guess I won't take over spoiler duty.

He's only going by what I said up at the top:

... I've put a spoiler warning in the thread title, but any really big revelations may also be placed within spoiler tags in the thread, for the protection of those who haven't seen the movie yet but couldn't resist peeking in (I know there are a few of you out there.)
Call it a little extra spoiler protection, for the ones having difficulty resisting the temptation -- a public service, if you will. ;)

I'm requesting a tiny spoiler:

What color are the new Enterprise's bussard collectors? Red? Blue? Dark with Blue Spots??

Fo those lucky buggers you have been to the world premiere - firstly, I am very jealous! Secondly, I am very interested to know what the reaction of the rest of the audience was like - particularly these mysterious "taste makers"

I'd like to know definitively if this is an Alternate Universe. And if it is, in what major ways does it diverge? Specifically, is Captain Pike killed?

Minor request for music and moment spoilers:

Is the Alex Courage theme in the opening or closing titles?

Is there a "boarding the Enterprise" moment like in TMP where we get a good long look at the ship? (another place I might expect the Courage theme in some form).

"Taste makers" includes the current young Aussie soapie stars - whose former colleague from "Home and Away" is featuring as George Kirk, after all - plus various media identities, pro reviewers, famous faces, etc.

Tony Squires, a newspaper journalist turned breakfast radio announcer, was seeking a "date" on yesterday's morning show, to fill the other half of his free double pass, with Trekkies and Trekkers from all over greater Sydney ringing in to offer their services to him, ie. to fill him in on the night of all the ST factoids between the end of TOS and the coming of ENT.

The nightly TV news shows are featuring studio interviews with JJ and the main stars (Pine, Quinto, Cho), and showed Eric Bana live, walking along the red carpet and chatting about his role. They said it was unspooling right now.

Very pleased to hear that Nimoy features a lot, rather than just in an extended cameo.

Shame about Shat. I really thought it would have been a good idea to have him do the "Space. The Final Frontier" speech at the end. Talking of which, do we hear it from anyone else?

And what of the alternate universe issue. Is Shatner Trek left "unwiped"?

Also, any 24th Century bits?
