Trek Trading cards (spoilers)

Yea, I agree, the KAM may well have changed with the timeline. After the horrific Kelvin incident, they may have decided to change it from a ship in distress to, Kelvin under attack, and thats also the reason they make them wear period uniforms during the test. Its basically a, "What would you do if you were Robau" test.

(Nice thing for me is, from her chin down, she looks just like my GF...)

Then what the frak are you doing here?!? ;)

Nice Rock-Sex Icon, Sam...

The GF currently is living on Long Island due to her state job...

I'm off Wedensday to Sunday this week, where do you think I'll be...

^His girlfriend is green? :wtf:

Only when she wears THAT PARTICULAR OUTFIT...
(with the sterling silver slave-collar I bought her.)

And I have my GOLD COMMAND SHIRT on!
(which, BTW, cums off rather quickly the first time around...)

yes, I know...TMI... but we are very kinky in the bedroom...:p

And where are we getting the 'A' in the abbreviation for 'Kobayashi Maru'?

Is that like the 'S' in 'BSG'?

sorry... I foolishly followed SP's example... :rommie:

...corrected My posts to KM.
(though I can do nothing to correct those that quoted me previously. :cardie:)

Maybe it'll be the Kelvin Atrocity (KA) Test from now on...

Am I the only one who thinks this shot looks terrible? CGI-wise?

As a still it has a very classic TOS quality to it - that is to say, a bit too painterly. In motion on the big screen, who knows?
Well, like the other cards in the set, it's got the image quality of a vintage postcard, so I don't know if this is the best pic to use as a critique of its CGI.

What is/are the source(s) for these, I'm wondering?

I have a feeling that this shot is in the Enterprise hanger deck. Seems to me a curve to the ceiling.

I also believe that this is towards the end of the film, and it's the "I will take my leave of you now" scene.

Is this also going to be something like the ending of TNG episode Relics - Spock: "You're giving me one of your shuttles!"

I'm somewhat curious as to the uniform that young Spock is wearing. Seems to be something different than formal dress. Possibly for a service of fallen shipmates towards then end of movie as well?

I believe the young Spock uniform is his Academy Instructor uniform. And therefore it is logical to assume that the scene takes place at the Academy.

Eh. It's a bright, sunny day, maybe some residual haze in the air, and the sky is washed out. Happens.

The thing that strikes me is look at the Transamerica Pyramid. That thing is what, about 900 feet tall? So, some of them other puppies must approach 4000 feet. I guess building tall is the rule in the future. Zoning boards gone wild, apparently. Just how overcrowded is SF?

This Picture looks like it could be Delta Vega or the Enterprise. I don't think it's SFA.

Count me as another one who is unimpressed with the Orion female. And I'm not gay... not that there is anything wrong with it.

You may be right, but I think this scene possibly takes place on Earth in that same "shuttle hanger" that we saw in the trailer (the one where the cadets were standing around, listening to actor Paul McGillion, who was seemingly giving them their orders). If it does turn out to be the same place as that scene in the trailer, then I think it is too big to be the Enterprise's shuttle bay.

That scene was filmed at the old "Marine Corps Air Station" in Tustin, California in the big blimp hanger located there.

I know that the MTV caption for this photo said it was Quinto and Nimoy, but could they perhps be mistaken? Could the other guy be Sarek (Ben Cross)?

It's not only the MTV caption. Trekmovie.com has confirmed that this is what's written on the back of the trading card.
