What can I say - I don't buy cars, that's just money down a bucket - all of my cars are leased and "owned" by my business. The person who sorts it out for me says that he can get a good deal on an M3.
Hey, it's probably an excellent car, I'm just saying the overwhelming majority of people who drive that car are jerks.

No, Clarkson loves the M3, and he's moved on to calling Audi owners cocks now, BMWs have been deemed safe.
Debate the styling all you want, but I think that the M3 is the best overall performance sedan on the planet for five figures. If I had to be stuck with one car for the rest of my life, it would be a 4-door M3.
My vote for #2 would probably be the Caddy CTS-V, followed by the RS4. The M5 and RS6 aren't as frisky as they used to be compared to the competition, I think the CTS-V is a better performance bargain than either of them without sacrificing anything.
The AMGs are all bad-ass and I love them from a visceral perspective (especially the Black series), but they're tanks.
I posted some pictures here last year from the Canadian IAS in Toronto, it's really hard to get pictures of the "full" car without people standing in the way. These things are packed. The wide shots I did get I usually had to be very patient for or were of vehicles that were behind a railing so no one could get in the way.

I haven't own a TV (till recently) for about ten years, so the whole top gear/clarkson thing has passed me by. However, because I generally have nice cars people always think that I must watch it.
Then they start asking complex questions about engines and revs and stuff and I just look blankly at that, my brother is into cars and he gives the final say on what particular model of a car I should get, I have no idea about all that stuff.
I gotta agree here, you have have to work a bit on your framing.^ You really need pictures of the whole cars. With the last four cars, you've got a picture of the front, and a picture of the back, but no picture of the whole thing.
Then again I am "the photographer" in my family so I'll always be a bit snobby about photos

I normally take what pics I can and I focus on the parts of the cars that interest me. That digital camera eats batteries for breakfast. You can always go to the manufacturer's websites to get better views. Their photographers are pros with better equipment and control over the lighting situation.
Also, is it my imagination or are most of the critics in this thread the types that would turn their nose up at Detroit anyway?

That's why someone invented Convertibles and Roadsters. I'm 6 feet tall and I felt quite at home in all 3 of those cars.

I did test sit the Opel GT (German version of the Sky) but I was looking rigt into the big sivlery thing around the window. May have missed something secret with the seat, but don't think so. Damned cool looking car still though.

GM doesn't need a small car brand. It just needs to make some good small cars for the 'Everyman's Division', Chevrolet. Fortunately, they do have a good one with the Cobalt and a better one coming soon in the form of the Cruze.
Or, so I read... I prefer larger vehicles.

And i must disagree. I think Saturn had, and indeed could have, played a major role in the future of GM. I wanted a Chevy Cobalt when i was looking for a new car over a year ago. My dad told me not to buy American, so i drove off the lot in a Nissan Sentra. So i will agree that GM needs to make reliable cars that people want to buy. I however, believe that it would have been Saturn where it would have started. Hell, GM should have shed itself of Hummer and GMC. GMC is redundant since they are simply re badged Chevy's.

Of all the cars you've got pix of, the Challenger is my pick. Not only am I a Mopar fan, I think they did an outstanding job of evoking the old car while using modern proportions, fit and finish that the original just could not live up to. As for its handling, I don't know what others have been hearing or reading, but from what I've seen, it's very well-executed for all-around performance, not just in a straight line with the power of the Hemi, but also around the bends; keep in mind that the chassis architecture is based on the previous-generation Mercedes-Benz E-class, a car that handled very well. Plus the Challenger has a shorter wheelbase than its siblings, the 300 and Charger, which contributes to its handling.
I don't know if it was at New Orleans, but Chrysler also rolled out the 200C EV at the Detroit and Chicago shows; it's a hybrid similar to the Chevy Volt in concept, but larger, based on a shortened 300 chassis; of all the concept cars this year, I thought it was the most attractive, and hopefully Chrysler will redesign the homely Sebring to look like this. While I love the Challenger for manly fun, the 200C is, IMHO, the best-looking sport sedan to hit the shows this century, and a production version would be more likely to end up in my garage than pretty much anything else.
