Recent TV Shows You Gave Up On.

Is anyone one watching Heroes anymore as nearly everyone on here has ditched it and people I know who used to watch it don't anymore, oh and I also stopped watching half way through S3 as I just lost interest.
Never watched things like Lost,Terminator or 24

Dollhouse was on my list of mid-season shows to catch, but the more I learned of the premise and read a few reviews of the pilot, I never actually checked out the show.

I dumped nuBSG after the second season. I don't know why exactly, perhaps too much violence in place of any story.

I still watch Heroes! More for glimpses of Mohinder and hopes that Hiro will charm me once again than any interest in the show.

I wanted to watch My Own Worst Enemy, but kept wandering off to do the vacuuming.

Someday I'm going to go through Lipstick Jungle to watch the Andrew McCarthy bits.

I still watch Heroes, too. I want to see if Bryan Fuller can actually make a difference.

Checked out Dollhouse last night again - the first episode without Fox's interference - eh, still don't like it. Goodbye for good this time.

Heroes
Smallville
CSI: Miami
Law & Order: SVU
Fringe
My Name is Earl
Damages

I think I'm done with CSI too. It's just not the same.

Gave up on Lost in season 2. The flashbacks, the uninvolving and charisma challenged actors, the lack of direction, gave me a serious headache. Haven't regretted the decision for a moment.

I gave up on Terminator.
The change to Friday night tripped me up and I missed the return episode. Watched the next and it was a Meh episode that didn't remind me to watch the next week. I just said piss on on it, I'll catch it on DVD. I don't normally watch TV on Friday's anyway.

I'm about to give up on Heroes as it hasn't entertained me it quite a while.

I like Fringe well enough but it's not compelling enough to absolutely make me drop whatever I'm doing to watch it so I have missed a few episodes.

My how things have changed.

Oh yeah!

Season 2 of LOST sucks, same with the beginning od season 3, after that through the show REALLY moves along.
QFT.

I was about to give up on Lost, but then the S3 Desmond episode came and I decided to stay. Things only improved since then, I like seasons 4 and 5 so far much more than season 1.

Grey's Anatomy, despite the fact that Dr. Lucius Vorenus (Kevin McKidd) joined the staff. It's gotten to the point where everyone's screwed everyone else and there's nothing left for them to do, they all speak the same way, and they all annoy me. I should've stopped watching a season or two back.

I've never watched Lost or Heroes. From what I've heard of Lost getting, well, lost in labyrinthine plot structure, time travel, and endless confusion, I'm hoping Fringe doesn't go the same way.

Wait a minute........whoa whoa whoa!!! Lucious Vorenus, my gorgeous Lucius Vorenus brought to life by the spectaculary talented Kevin McKidd--he's been reduced to appearing on Grey's Anatomy?:wtf: :wtf:

Now that's pitiful.

Sadly, yes. I've never seen an episode of Journeyman, but now I really wish it hadn't been canceled. Kevin McKidd is a regular, playing an Iraq war veteran surgeon who's come to Seattle Grace, who's currently pitifully semi-involved with Christina Yang. :(

In happier Romenews, Atia of the Julii (Polly Walker) is slated to be a part of the Caprica pilot.

I'm curently a bit on/off with Bones, it's never managed to fully keep my interest, although i do enjoy some of the shows. I'm starting to get more into Cold Case, i enjoy the characters, and how the shows structured.

On a better note, Fringe just restarted back here in the UK, so i'm really looking forward to watching the recording, i've really missed the show, and it compliments UK Gladiators for my Sunday night viewing.

Is anyone else starting to find CSI:NY a bit 'meh', i find myself getting up and leaving the TV more often that i used to when it's on, it just can't hold my interest anymore.

I've been finding myself watching some episodes of Terminator SCC that my mother had recorded on the V Box, would any of you say it's worth buying the DVD and watching the series from the start? As from what i've seen it look's rather interesting.

I found Terminator: SCC interesting for the first 12 episodes or so but then I lost interest. There's something about the way they are depicting the life or death struggle for survival of John and Sarah Connor that makes it stunningly dull. Maybe it's the lack of any clear map for who is trying to do what, when and to whom, on either side. It's just Connors = survive; Terminators = kill John. Not a lot you can do with that to stretch it to series length. Needs more interesting and clearly communicated complications.

Thanks for the brief Temis, i did have my reservations on how they would manage to flesh out out the 'Terminators chasing the Connors' storyline throughout an entire series, and from what you say it does seem to have worked up a bit too much repetition. I'll give the first few episodes a try and see how i go from there, as i'm currently in need of a good, solid series to give me my TV fix.

Any suggestions? i'm willing to give anything a watch, which reminds me, i need to find some BSG dvds and get watching them.

Haha, i had a feeling that one was coming, and i think it's something that i've definately got to have a look at, heard nothing but rave reviews about the series but never managed to get around to watching it. I think i was going through my X-Files phase around the time it was on, but i'll definately give this a go aswell.

Also, to those who have managed to see episodes of Law & Order UK, is it actually any good? It had no appeal to me whatsoever when i first read about it, as i'm more than happy with watching The Bill as a UK based Policing series.
