Ya know what, I like the Enterprise toy, it looks cool. The equipment, so-so.
But damn...
Those figures are awful.
They really are. I understand the quick-buck merchandising aspect of them, but jees, wtf.
Its like Indy 4 all over again, i was expecting, after Indy had been away for 19 years, a decent merchandising move, decent scale figures and detail. Instead we got figures that wouldnt look out of place in 1987.
Still, might get the ship, and maybe keep the packaging of teh figures.

I think Pike becomes Fleet Captain LONG before Kirk takes command -- and that does NOT contradict The Menagerie. All we learned about the Kirk/Pike relationship from The Menagerie is:
1.) Kirk met Pike when Pike was promoted to Fleet Captain, and
2.) Kirk took over the Enterprise from him.
There was never any indication that those two events are connected.
It could be. Kirk has three stripes (two thick + one thin). Pike also has three stripes, but it's hard to tell the thickness of Pike's stripes.

It still looks better than some of the cheesy CLONE WARS shit in stores right now. I love Hasbro and their action figures...but some of them can be dumb as dirt.

The bridge set isn't a solid piece that has play features like opening doors, or swiveling chairs, or exploding consoles, it's a bunch of accessories in a box with a mat. Considering half of the accessories to "build" your own bridge come with the figures already as accessories, the bridge is kind of overpriced and lame. It's also kind of funny that it comes with a figure you've presumably already bought in order to get accessories to complete your bridge.
