Before they were famous. Trek guest spots by future celebs

I am not Spock

Commodore
Commodore
Obvious candidates would be Kirsten Dunst in TNG's 'Dark Page', Ashley Judd in TNG's 'Darmok' and 'The Game'; and current headline grabber Sarah Silverman in VOY's 'Future's End' (don't think she was a household name in 97, someone prove me wrong here..)

And I think several of the Desperate Housewives were in TNG.

Anyone got any other examples?

-Teri Garr in TOS as Roberta Lincoln in the Gary Seven episode.
-Joan Collins in "Guardian of Forever" in TOS.
-William Windom as Commodore Matt Decker in "Doomsday Machine" again TOS.
-Gary Lockwood in TOS "Where No Man has gone Before"
Mariette Hartley in TOS

Strange how you see people getting their start in Trek, but not often vice versa, i.e, big stars doing Trek. I mean, we've had Oscar winners Louise Fletcher, F. Murray Abraham, Joel Grey, etc, but little others.

Depends on the household, I suppose. She was on Saturday Night Live for the 1993-94 season, but I wasn't watching SNL at the time, so I hadn't heard of her before 'Future's End'.

Nikki Cox was in an episode of TNG wasn't she? Pen Pals, I think. Then again, I don't know how 'famous' you'd say she is these days...

Jason Alexander. Christopher Lloyd. Mae Jemison. Stephen Hawking. The Rock. Those are just off the top of my head. I'm sure there are more.

READ the TITLE! Jason Alexander, Christopher Lloyd, Stephen Hawking and The Rock were all already well known ( though Christopher Lloyd was to a lesser extent). Jason Alexander's appearence was well after Seinfeld's run. And if Stephen Hawking wasn't famous, he wouldn't have gotten that spot.

Frank Langella did 3 episodes of DS9 playing Jaro Essa uncredited because his children were fans.

Also in Where No Man....

Is Sally 'Hot Lips Houlihan' Kellerman from the original M*A*S*H*.
