We have the added lure of the TREK XI trailer...but how many of you will really go out of your way to watch the Superbowl between the Steelers and Cardinals???

Was it really so much to ask to include the word "the" in your topic title? Hrm? Seriously?

To answer your typed-in-error question, no.

I watched the StupidBowl a few times as a kid. Mostly because it meant staying up late.

Don't do such anymore. Never will.

I can see the dumb Trek XI commercial on-line 45 minutes later. So why bother?

Um...did the Superbowl rape you or something as a child? Is the addition of the "dumb Trek XI" trailer just an added reminder of your raped childhood? Talk about being unnecessarily negative.

I normally work Superbowl Sunday, but I managed to get out of it this year. I won't be paying much attention to the game, but I will definitely enjoy the food and beer and friends.

Wow... let's be super pessimist. What sports do you like if you don't care about the NFL?

Playing? Baseball, soccer, even touch football in the team category. I'm not particularly good at any of them, but they're fun. More when you throw in solo/"adventure" sports like kayaking.

Watching on TV? Not much. I guess I just missed that gene. I did enjoy seeing the Red Sox win the series back in '04, but that was partially because my roommate was watching anyway; if I do watch the Superbowl----I haven't the last few years----it'll be for social reasons only.

I'll be watching. This is the culmination of the season.

Agreed..

As a Charger fan, I should be pulling for the AFC team, the Steelers. But as a football fan I think it's great when a team that never has won a superbowl before wins....My second favorite team is the 49ers, currently tied with the steelers with 5 superbowl wins...though, to the 49ers credit, they've never lost where as the Steelers have...

So...I think I'm going to go for the Cardinals.....but either team deserves to win. The Steelers because of the great teams they beat to get there...and the Cardinals, one of this years (Miami-Atlanta included) Cinderella teams...

Yeah, I'll be watching, but unless it's a close game there's a good chance I'll go to bed at halftime (damn you for always starting the Super Bowl at midnight ;)).

I've hated the Steelers since I was a kid, but they do have one of the (if not the best) defensive players in the league. You think if some chick cut off his hair, he would loose his power??? :vulcan:

The Steelers also probably have the best organization in the NFL. With one season as an exception, they have always been in the playoff hunt.

With that said, I'm rootin for Arizona.

Go Cards!

At this point, "Superbowl" probably ought to be one word but I think it's still two.

I'll watch for the "Star Trek" commercial, at least. I have an intermittent, passing interest in NFL football depending on who's playing but I can't describe myself as a fan.

I like watching football, and it'll be interesting to see the high flying Cards offense against the Steel Curtain. I'll be tuning in.

I'm not a football fan by any means, but I'll watch and cheer as our local team destroys the interlopers from across the country.

You should thank Pittsburgh for your home teams good fourtune this year. Two of your top wideouts(Fitzgerald, Breaston) Fitz went to Pitt. Breaston grew up and graduated from a local high school. Your head coach and his assistant learned their trade right here in the 'burgh. So if anyone is interloping it's you guys.

So. Here we go Steelers!!!!!

Also damn right I'll be watching the superbowl.

I'm not a football fan, so I'll pass on this one.

But what's this about Trek XI? I thought we already saw the real trailer.
