Original series novels set in 24th century?

Other than the Lost Era and the Vulcan's Soul novels, are there any other original series novels set in the 24th century? And I do not mean the Shatnerverse novels ughk... Thanks--josephberte

There are novels in the 24th century that involve members of the TOS crew, specifically Scotty, McCoy, and Spock.

Scotty is a recurring character in the Corps of Engineers series, having appeared in 22 of the 74 eBooks in the series. Scotty also appears in the novels Ship of the Line, Engines of Destiny, A Time for War, a Time for Peace, and the Gateways crossover, and the short stories "Ancient History" (Strange New Worlds VI) and "Full Circle" (SNW7).

McCoy appeared in the short stories "Mirror Eyes" (Tales of the Dominion War) and "Doctors Three" (SNW2).

Spock has appeared in the novels Maximum Warp, New Frontier: House of Cards, New Frontier: Being Human, New Frontier: Stone and Anvil, Titan: Taking Wing, Articles of the Federation, and Before Dishonor and the short stories "Out of the Frying Pan" (New Frontier: No Limits) and "Blood Sacrifice" (Tales of the Dominion War).

Spock, McCoy, and Scotty all appeared in Crossover. Spock and McCoy both appeared in Double Helix: Red Sector and The Brave and the Bold Book 2. Spock and Scotty both appeared in the New Frontier: Excalibur trilogy. Scotty and McCoy both appeared in the short stories "Solemn Duty" (SNW7) and "Safe Harbors" (Tales of the Dominion War) and the eBook Ghost.

I may be missing a few there, but that's most of them. :)

Okk; are there any others (other than that Lost Era novel) that feature Uhura? I really like her.. BTW, I'll have to check out those novels.. Thanks

Crossover is the book that got me into reading Star Trek. Really good.

That said, I usually can't stand it when TOS cast is in the 24th century books. You can almost see the writer giving the characters CPR throughout the book and ignoring their do not resuscitate sign. I find it just too much of a stretch to be worth doing.

Never mind, I found out the answer, re: Uhura.. It looks like she only appeared in Art of the Impossible, Vulcan's Soul, and Catalyst of Sorrows, and a cameo in Vulcan's Heart, I guess..

Depending on how strictly or loosely you define TOS, you could also throw in the Captain Demora Sulu stories "Iron and Sacrifice" and "Seduced" from Tales from the Captain's Table.

For a real stretch, there's the presence in DS9: Day of Honor: Armageddon Sky of an elderly Starfleet legend who is incognito but strongly implied to be Hikaru Sulu.

josephberte, your original post mentioned The Lost Era, the "Vulcan's Noun" books, and the "Shatnsrverse" books, so I didn't include them. Uhura's only 24th-century appearances are in one of those.

Yeah, I know, those were the only ones I knew about.. I just think there's so much potential to the Uhura in Starfleet Intelligence thing.. Thank you everyone

And Arex, from TAS, gets tossed in the New Frontier novel, "Gateways: Cold Wars", just after the turn of the century, IIRC.

Yep. In 2305, Arex was aboard a shuttlecraft that fell through a wormhole, throwing him 71 years into the future, to 2376.

M'Ress has since joined him in the 24th century, although she was timeslipped from the TOS movie era.
