OK, we did Funniest Moments, so why not the Saddest? Any moment or scene from any WHO episode that you thought was sad/tragic/depressing. (eg, Adric dying, taking Donna's memories, guest-character deaths, etc)

And I mean it in the literal sense, not as in "that was so lame, it's just sad." :p

They did sad goodbyes long before RTD came on the scene. ;)

^ Or maybe it's just the way he fills out his swimming trunks...

The Seventh Doctor, before he gets shot. I always think this is a sad moment. He's about to die. He's alone. He's aged since we last saw him, the things he's surrounded by seem to fragile and delicate and from a lost time. It really moves me. :(

The 5th Doctor's final moments...

How the heck is anyone supposed to beat that one?!

Thanks! The 5th Doctor's final struggle to get he and a dying Peri back to the TARDIS, in the midst of the planet exploding around them, all the while dying himself. I thought it was one of the saddest...and yet, most noble...moments in the history of Who... :techman:

^ One of the best moments in the history of television, I'd say! And from one of the best WHO stories of all time, IMO.
