"Lovin' You" by the immortal Minnie Riperton
That's it!

I love that song... Not a huge fan of the lyrics, but I love the sound.I can't stand that song from the end of Donnie Darko.
What's that one song which seems to consist solely of 'oo-ma-ma-mau', repeated over and over while a very insistent rock beat plays?
Nah. At the time it was favorably compared to Donna Summer's work."Gloria" by Laura Branigan.
Big deal. Is that the world record for multiple songwriters on one composition? It actually took THREE PEOPLE to write that one.

That's it!I knew you people would come thru!!! Thanx!
I see your point, and I do enjoy novelty songs, but that one sets my teeth on edge. The 1970's were a Golden Age for novelty singles, but I think they belong in a category separate from "Worst Songs." Records like "Telephone Man" and "Disco Duck" are supposed to make people chuckle. That's a little different from sincere but wretched works like "You're Having My Baby."
I can't stand that song from the end of Donnie Darko.
And I think it's kinda funny
I think it's kinda sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
Which reminds me of another horrible song, "Surfin' Bird" by the Trashmen (rather appropriate), which was a straight cop of "Papa" and an even worse song, if that's possible. What's that one song which seems to consist solely of 'oo-ma-ma-mau', repeated over and over while a very insistent rock beat plays?
Strangely enough, it's called "Papa Oom Mow Mow", by the Rivingtons.

Also, I've always detested "Goin' Up the Country" by Canned Heat, but that's probably more the vocal than the song itself.

The song ('Mad World') is actually quite decent, but I much prefer the original Tears For Fears version to the Gary Jules cover. I'm not sure whether the 5 names rule for song writing applies everywhere Ted - I've got a fair few albums in my collection with six or seven names credited for some songs (and that's from checking the credits on the album artwork).

Seriously, she must have been AMAZING in bed to have Lennon so dizzy and wrapped around her finger.Ooh! Ooh! How about "Don't Worry Kyoko" by Yoko Ono?![]()
