voyager movie?

who else agrees on a voyager flick, i'd like to see XI, but after that no more TNG, DS9 wouldnt work for a flick, and who'd want an ENT flick. my fav series is VOY so who else wants a flick for janeway and crew?!

I don't think it would work. They would have to set it before the ship made it home at the end of the series, and that would drain pretty much any suspense out of it.

One afterwards could be doable, but that's not really what Voyager was about. The whole point of the series was the trip home. Anything else would be TNG on a different ship.

I beg to differ. I think DS9 would be most conducive to an epic awesome flick. But I'm guessing since I'm posting this in the VOY forum I'm going up against a massive crowd of disagreement. Nothing against Voyager at all, I love it, but it's better suited for the small screen than DS9 is IMO.

I would love to see a Voyager movie but I don't think it will ever happen.

In that case, the movie must be set after "Endgame", with some event which will gather the old gang for some recue mission (just like they did in the TOS movies). Making a movie about their previous adventures in the Delta Quadrand would be unrealistic, especially since the cast members have aged since the series was made.

Besides that, there were some discord behind the curtains in the later seasons and I'm not sure that all the actors would agree to participate in a movie.

The best alternative would be a movie with a mixed cast from TNG, DS9 and Voyager. It would attract fans from all three series.

They crew should all get together on Voyager as part of a reunion, or dedication, or something. Then, somehow, they get pulled into the Delta Quadrant again. Then a 3 or 4 movie series with them once again trying to get home.

Yeah, just like Gilligan's Island!

Yeah, just like Gilligan's Island!

The redundancy would be a huge pall.

I personally think it would be fun to explore the lives of the crew after Endgame, and having cast from the other series would be cool too.

But really, unless you're a creative genius, there's absolutely no way to make that interesting for anyone but the really avid trek fans.

Oh no!

Just beam right up and you'll hear a tale, a tale of an Intrepid ship,
That warped out from a Starbase port, the 74656.
To rescue Janeway's Vulcan mole,
In her Skipper's red pantsuit,
She tracked some Maquis Terrorists and ordered pursuit. And ordered pursuit.

The badlands started getting rough, the tiny ship was tossed.
If not for the babble of the Starfleet crew, the Voyager would be lost. The Voyager would be lost.
The ship was pulled into orbit of
The Caretaker's Array,
With Chakotay, a Klingon too, and Ensign Kim, and an Ex Con.
The EMH, an Ocampa and Talaxian, here on Chakotay's Tattoo!

In actuality if they really wanted to make a movie... They would. If suddenly thousands if not millions of billions of Voyager DVD's were sold I'm sure Paramount would open up the pocket for the silver screen. It wouldn't be terribly difficult to come up with the story. If someone wanted a movie someone would be forced to write it... Here's a quick thought; Janeway is an Admiral she's brought in to some kind of secret starfleet meeting because '8472' is threatening the intergalatic peril of 'earth' once again, so Janeway convinces some of her Admiral friends to let her have a ship and re-instate some old friends and ex-con's to investigate these so called... well you figure out the rest :vulcan:

I think the most likely chance for a movie would be to go direct to dvd the way Stargate is doing now.
There's no reason Voyager couldn't have adventures in the Alpha quadrant. Maybe the Caretaker's mate could come after them, or a newly discovered wormhole opens up exploration and even colonisation in the Delta quadrant.

We should have got a ds9/Voy movie, IMO the TNG movies all sucked, A Ds9/Voy movie may not have been any better but they could have at least given a telemovie a chance.

I myself had pinned my hopes on a ds9/voy peacekeeping series set in the Gamma Quadrant with various members of both casts in it, but We got enterprise.

I'd love to see a Voyager movie, just as I would love to see a Deep Space Nine movie. The more I think about it, the more DS9 seems like the sort of epic story to make a great film. Some of the DS9 relaunch books have been outstanding and could be worked into a film.

But the reality is that both series didn't attract the sort of ratings to justify any sort of movie. And the next series, Enterprise, was cancelled mid-run.

It's been almost ten years since DS9 ended, and six years since Voyager ended. Sadly, The window of opportunity for making these series into films has all but closed.

I am keenly awating the TOS film, and I hope it's really good. If this film really brings the people in, then there may be some hope of seeing a VOY/DS9 film. It could bring about the renaissance that Star Trek (in both film and television) needs.

I'd like to see a movie about a Documentarian, frack it, how much could Michael Palin cost these days(?), a couple hundred years later following the path of Voyager across the Delta Quadrant to Earth. :)

I read somewhere that they are making a Star Trek movie.I am not sure there are any of the Voyager cast in it,but I think that there are,at least I hope that there are.
