I actually wouldnt mind a 3rd film, dont know why it needs to be a remake.

I dunno, it's listed for 2010. Can you really call something a cash-in when it comes TWO YEARS later? And with the lengthy development time of the CG movies compared to live-action, the difference gets even larger.

For all practical purposes they've already done that. There's so much cgi added into the special edition that it's like reading a book you've loved all your life, and somebody decided to smear poop on every page.
